Sometimes it's hard to tell if the woman is talking to you for herself or her bff

Sometimes ladies can be confusing. I get calls from 3-4 friends who flirt and they seem to think we don't pivk up on it. They will talk and flirt but when they do othis you never know exactly which one of the crew likes you. It would be much easier if they would just tell you who the magic one is so we could move forward instead of doing musical chairs. I guess when women do this they think we know who is the bff that actually wants to be with us. Can somebody explain why they do this?
