jus d'orange Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Hello all, Well, it's now been over 6 weeks since my breakup (and I had to check the calendar, as I no longer keep track), all of it strict NC. For a couple weeks now, I haven't felt the suffering anymore. It has really settled that she's out of my life. While I still appreciate the gravity of losing perhaps the most important person in the last 5 years of my life, I have moved forward naturally. I think of her only in passing now. I have found posting on this forum to be enormously helpful, and I hope that the advice I have given others has done similarly. As a result of how things have changed for me since January, I am now going to stop coming to the Loveshack. I may be back every once in a while, but I won't be a regular poster anymore. I think it may be one of the last steps in really getting away from the "break-up stage." Who knows... I may be back again at some point. I may even be in the dating forum -- there's a new girl in my life and it's very interesting and different for me. Only time will tell, I suppose. I have learned and grown so much, even in the relatively short time since the breakup. I know I will continue to do so. I want everyone to know that, if you follow the good advice of folks here, you will do the same. Take a break-up or break as an opportunity to reform yourself and your habits. Learning to live with loss has been perhaps the most valuable personal experience of my life to date. I'm not sure if it's possible to PM me, but if it is, they'll be sent to my email. Otherwise...
