BMZMJ Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 So I posted previously about how much I am enjoying my workouts recently. But here is an added bonus, specially for guys. I am a fairly friendly guy but today I chatted with two gym acquaintances (women) and actually spoke to them more than I previously had. Before it was a mere "hi, how are you?" Let me tell you what a nice ego boost it is to make another female laugh and smile ...guys you got to try! And for the women - don't be scare to start friendly chats either ! 3
Falcon25 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 (edited) You don't go to the gym to talk or pick up women, you go to the gym so you can later talk and pick up women. Edited March 15, 2012 by Falcon25 s
Author BMZMJ Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 No bro. I have been going to the gym for 3 years now. As I said, these girls were always just acquaintances but today I spent more time talking to them than usual...in a friendly way...
nick d Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Haha nice bro! There is a new girl that started working out at my gym. I've seen her looking at me and I've wanted to go talk to her. Just haven't gotten the guts to do it yet lol
Headintheclouds Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 My gym is a big sausage party. But...I recent started going to yoga. Tons of hot women there! I haven't had the balls to talk to any yet though :/
Author BMZMJ Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 It is not very hard. think about it - you and the new girls are working out at the same gym. that is an instant ice-breaker and there is something in common already. all you have to do is compliment them on some exercise they're doing, or if they look like they know what they're doing ask for advice, or something like that to break the ice. Just be friendly and not pushy...
Octavius Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Kicking myself after reading this thread. Group of 3 girls were down in the weight lifting area of the gym near me today and a short cute blond kept on checking me out (or maybe it was just because I was lifting heavy)... either way should have talked to her.
GKM Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Just dont go in with cheesy lines! When I first joined my gym these dudes kept hitting on me like mid run they would come up to my treadmill and gesture to ask me a question...so I would have to slow down, take my headphones off....and they would be like 'damn, you are so beautiful whats your name' and I would say something along the lines of I really want to get back to my workout loL! Approach them at the weights section or the water fountain and ask them about their foot gear or workout routine- dont offer them advice they would be offended if you are like 'oh, here let me show you how to do a PROPER bicep curl' LOL... Then again, if its obvious SHE is constantly checking you out you are totally open to go up to her and chat her up, she thinks you are super hot and isnt going to be too put off by cheesyness at that point I was perving on two SUPER fine dudes at the gym myself yesterday
NeverAgainDC Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 You don't go to the gym to talk or pick up women, you go to the gym so you can later talk and pick up women. Love Shack's resident pick up artist has spoken... #sarcasm
Better_Days Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 My gym is a big sausage party. But...I recent started going to yoga. Tons of hot women there! I haven't had the balls to talk to any yet though :/ you have the balls to attend yoga classes tho :\ now grow em slightly bigger to initiate convo
water4150 Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 This is probably my most embarassing question but igaf lol. How in god's name did you manage to strike a convo with people (woman) in the gym. I always wanted to start a convo with some pretty cute girls...but I don't have it in me to pick up my balls and go for it... Any advice? Tips? Pointers? LOL
Headintheclouds Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 you have the balls to attend yoga classes tho :\ now grow em slightly bigger to initiate convo I know! It took me a lot to get myself to go. Honestly though, I've been in the gym for years and am also an avid cyclist/racer. Yoga kicked the crap out of me and you feel amazing afterwards. Its definitely a great thing to do while going through the crap we are all going through!
