curiousboi001 Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 my sister recently doesn't have much of an appetite and when ever she drinks milk she feels like puking. Im really concerned that she wont have consumed sufficient ammounts of nutrients. I dont know if its related, but in the past, she use to suffer from iron deficiency but i think got a little better after taking iron supplements. Can anyone give me a reason and a cure? thanx ps i know this isnt web md or nething but the ppl on here seem so intelligent.
dudesomewhere Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 well, not knowing enough...she may just be lactose intolerant as the majority of people...adults are. Humans as an animal, are the only ones who consume milk in adulthood. It's something like 75-85% that are lactose intolerant. There are many other sources of calcium but the industry to make money is very powerful...GOT MILK? That said, you can have a small stomach and can hardly eat but multi-vitamins is the key. Other than that, she may a worm/parasite of some sort funking up her biology, so get that checked
Matilda Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 There is no way to know what is going wrong with your sister unless you take her to a doctor. Even on webMD, they wouldn't be able to tell you what is wrong from what you are describing. Anything said here would be pure speculation. But I will throw one thing out there, is there a possibility she could be pregnant?
mrs.sarah Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 She needs to go to a doctor and have professional advice given to her. Maybe take multi-vitamins?
