Blah blah blah. When you heal that's all you'll hear when you look back at these types of thoughts. Stop questioning things as unless you were being deceitful, you just did what came natural. Find someone who being yourself meshes with, and you will find happiness. What if on that one Thursday you had let him poop first instead of running into the bathroom? Every single event that happened could change everything. But what happened happened, so learn to accept it and move on. 1

Try your best to be a better person and most importanltly, forgive yourself.

However, you have to be honest with yourself and clearly point out what traits you have that might have contributed to the breakup. You need to address these bad traits and get rid of them; not only to please your ex but also to shape yourself in a better person.
