sickofit Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 ok so, my fiance is going on a bike ride today and i ask him how long he'll be gone, and he gets a total attitude with me wanting to know why i'm asking. i was just making conversation. he's like this all the time. what does it mean, what do i do?
moimeme Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Too many men seem to think that we want to keep them on leashes. What we actually want is 1) to know they are alive and well and haven't been hit by a steamroller (like my ex was - true!) and 2) when they plan to return so that we can organize our own days or evenings accordingly, particularly if they live with us and we normally eat together. That some male people should get in a snit over being what amounts to polite drives me NUTS. They'd not dream of taking off work without telling their bosses where they are going or to check in with the boss to say when they'll be back but heaven help any poor woman who would like the same courtesy To me, it's a sign of immaturity. They're still rebelling against mommy because they're not grown up enough to act like polite adults yet. GRRRRR.
sara1974 Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Do you think that maybe he had a bad day @ work? Or maybe he's stressed out about a personal issue? I say if he continues to give you bad attitude, sit down and talk to him about it. If he's not in the mood to talk let him know your there for him if he needs you. Wish you the best of luck
