Assigning numbers to people's looks is ridiculous. The number will never be constant, depending on who is looking at you.

I think it can be funny to play that game. But people here seem to make these numbers out of thin air and treat them like gods words. Like they come here saying I AM A 7 AND THE PROPHECIES SAY I SHALL NEVER GET A GIRL OVER A 6.

Don't you see? You don't even view overweight women, or women with ugly features, as WOMEN. They don't even exist in your mind. This shows through in everything you say about women. And it isn't just overweight women, or ugly women, who would find this an extremely undesirable quality in a man. Nor would women find it desirable that you just brush off concerns about the effects of hormonal birth control on women (although you are suggesting that women use it), until such a time as you need your gf to get hormonal BC so that you can have sex without condoms.

Seriously, SD. Read this. Re-read this. Try to get it to sink in. It's the same thing you've been told many ways before about how you may be repelling women. I know you think you're so "hard to read" that nobody knows this, but people can sense your general attitude and I really cannot imagine you hide it well. You don't even know what you're saying here half the time, and we don't have the benefit of seeing your visual reactions, facial expressions, tone, etc, which would give away far more.

There are many different kinds of birth control for women.

Once I actually get into a situation where I'm having sex with a girl, then I'll start researching birth control methods with her so we can move off of condoms.

Sorry, what? I don't get it. What did I say that was wrong?

Then eat less?

It isn't all about food and exercise.

Every time I look in the mirror I'm convinced I won the genetic lottery.

You don't even need to be a female either (I'm sure not) all you have to have is some self-confidence.

Because they're such a pertinent issue in life today. That's like me saying I don't live in the USA, why should I bother knowing about who Obama is? Or I'm not a man, how can I be expected to know that men get erections when they're aroused?

No, hormonal birth control is not a pertinent issue in life for me.

Whenever I've had sex, I used condoms. Every single time, and I expect to use them every time, until I'm in a committed relationship. Once that actually happens, my GF and I will have a talk and discuss the other BC methods. Even then, I wouldn't be surprised if she was already on something herself.

It's really not something that has any point in thinking about until I'm actually in that situation.

Well, then, we'll move on to the hard bit.

Me: 'Guys have it so easy. They can have sex with as many people as they like and nobody ever calls them sluts. Gosh, I wish I was a man.'

You: '...But I'm 30 and I've never had sex.'

Me: 'Sorry, I forgot that 30 year old virgins exist. They're not something I spend much time thinking about, unless I'm actually thinking about what I don't want.'

Am I supposed to feel insulted?

I really don't get why it's a big deal for them to not exist in my mind. I don't have any fat friends, nobody in my family is overweight. And obviously I have no interest in obese women.

As I said before, I don't even talk in person about whether people are fat or not.

Nothing you are saying makes any sense.

Nor would women find it desirable that you just brush off concerns about the effects of hormonal birth control on women (although you are suggesting that women use it), until such a time as you need your gf to get hormonal BC so that you can have sex without condoms.

And why is that bad?

Hormonal BC is simply not a concern for me. It's not my body, I can't decide what somebody does or doesn't do. And as a single male who doesn't have an active sex life, knowing about BC beyond condoms is irrelevant to me.

Seriously, SD. Read this. Re-read this. Try to get it to sink in. It's the same thing you've been told many ways before about how you may be repelling women. Give me a break.

Do you think I grimace when I see a fat girl or something? That I ware no fat girls allowed shirts? That I point out that somebody is fat and disgusting? That I treat an obese person any differently than I do an average person?

It isn't all about food and exercise.

Meh, I really don't know or honestly even care.

A female 6 is basically equal to a male 10. The best an average-looking guy can hope for is fat, ugly girls.

Man you got issues bro. You just gotta take the good with the bad. I'm a guy and never felt that way. I agree that there are women out there that are complete bitches and I've dated a few of them. However Not everyone is caught up on looks or money. If that was the case the world would be really ****ed up. I think your focused too much on looks and its messing with your selfesteem. You gotta be confident and have selfrespect for yourself. There are great women out there but you gotta be ready for that and let your insecurities go away.

FYI, even some married couples use condoms, because the other choices suck, too.

Why on earth are you guys feeding the troll thread?

Come on now, you are all better than that .

Damn right I don't want to use a condom every time. The desire to feel skin on skin is a whole lot less than the desire to have a child with the wrong guy though.

Condoms until there's a ring on it.

*sings*

If you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it.

Woah oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Wow.

First I'm getting blasted by people thinking I don't care about BC and then I get blasted by people saying I do care.

How about you get a vasectomy? There are some people who just shouldn't breed.

How is it like winning the genetic lottery?

Personally, I don't care. They'll have their own challenges as well.

Sure they have certain things easier, but again so do we.

It all comes down to how much you care. Because honestly, it's not worth worrying over.

If women have indeed won the genetic lottery, just think of it this way: they have to make do (and sleep) with average or less than average (aka ugly) men. No, I don't think we've won anything after all.

It *IS* pretty awesome being a woman.

It depends on the country.

In the US or western Europe, it can be like the Life of Riley.

In India, China, or Saudi Arabia, not so great.

The hierarchy is probably something more like:

Very Attractive Woman/Man

Average Woman/Man

Ugly, Fat Woman/Man

LS member verhrzn

LMAO! Thankfully I'm in the very attractive category!

But seriously, physical looks are only one part of the equation. Intelligence, personality, and a whole host of other attributes contribute as well and because some attributes are more important than others to some people, that is why people can have differing opinions of attractiveness of the same person. (AKA Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.)

Sadly... I know a few people that lack in all of those attributes..., not physically attractive (what most people in this thread is calling ugly), very poor personality, not very intelligent. :(

The reality is, most women will already know tons more than you about birth control before you get into a relationship with her. The idea that you are going to research methods and educate her is presumptuous.

If you care, then offer to use condoms. She may want to use something else, but at least be willing to use the birth control available to you.

So being born female is liking winning the lottery, unless you're a fat, ugly girl. *Rolls eyes* It never fails to amaze me how guys are constantly complaining how shallow women are, by demonstrating their own shallow tendencies.

Both sexes are shallow and looks-focused. However, guys have a much, much wider range of looks they're attracted to.

For girls, just don't eat like a whale (completely within your control and very easy to do) and the world is your oyster. For guys, be born with perfect genetics (completely out of your control and very rare) or go sexless and unloved.

Actually, I think being born a good looking male (top 10-15%) is winning the genetic lottery.

Just about every woman except for the very best looking ones throws themselves at you...

You can sleep with multiple women and treat women like crap and pretty much get away with it and not be seen as a 'slut' by society...

And other men generally respect you more because you are get a lot of 'chicks' and are (maybe) tall and athletic...

On the other hand, the top 10-15% of hot females have to deal with weirdos, stalkers, generally creepy dudes and harassment from even normal dudes.

I agree. Only I'd change it to the top 5%.

The greatest life prospect is life. A lot of the comments in this thread are extremely and unusually cruel. Sperm banks and women carrying only for themselves and whatnot. Why can't you people grow up and accept the fact that more cooperation is needed these days, and less competition? What terrible and disgusting child-like conjecture this all was.

Can't argue with your first sentence.

Second one has some hyperbole going on.

Dating may be. Concepts of procreation have nothing to do with simple dating. To say all these things as they did, well, they should be embarrassed and ashamed. Can you imagine that world? No genius nor any intelligent and self-respecting adult would ever say these things.... never ever. Grow up.

Bob Funk. I hate crap posts like this. Why? because men like you ENJOY ignoring the humaness of any female. I am not a number on a scale. My worth doesn't amount to being a 6 or being a 10, even if guys like you like to paint women (and me) like that. I sick of this bs number scale people have made up to number people. I have been rejected by men and yes, I have rejected men. And the men I have been rejected by have come in all shapes and sizes.

Life is difficult for all of us. Usually for different reasons. So don't sit behind your computer and act like just because I am female, I ride on unicorns all day sniffing rainbows. I got my issues. Dating isn't easy for me. And alot of men have passed me up. So bite me.

Having a vagina is awesome, it feels soo so good when nice guys give them pleasure lol.

But it is not always the case, of winnng the getetic lottery. I was born profoundly ugly. I had to have braces TWICE, and educate myself on healthy eating, and change a lot and do a lot of work to become hot.

WHen ugly, u have to settle for an ugly guy. Which is not so bad, plenty of ugly people have beautiful partners and wonderful marriages. Better still, there is no great chance of cheating, like more superficially inclined folk can. They have the option more.

I got bullied very badly, and hated not being attractive, I had a horrible time throughout high school and even as a child. Boys would not sit next to me cos I was so ugly.

genetic lottery is the same for both genders. ONly differences, are due to location, where some places have higher or lesser demands for either sex.

It's not really the fact that you don't know about it that irks some of us, I feel. It's that you shoot your mouth about it EVEN though you don't know about it, and dismiss concerns from people who do know more than you about, refusing to learn more from them. Can you imagine this conversation? 'Women have periods' 'Well take BC then, I'd want my gf to take BC anyway' 'You'd want your gf to take BC? Do you know that BC causes hormonal weight gain?' 'Well, she can just eat less then'. I mean.. really???

Again, to use an analogy, that'd be like me saying, 'Americans don't respect black people'. When someone says, 'They have a black president', I respond with 'Well, I'm not American, how should I be expected to know that? I can't be bothered to think about that. It's not my concern'.

Am I supposed to feel insulted?

It's good that you are not.

I really don't get why it's a big deal for them to not exist in my mind. I don't have any fat friends, nobody in my family is overweight. And obviously I have no interest in obese women.

As I said before, I don't even talk in person about whether people are fat or not.

Nothing you are saying makes any sense.

Because you are in such a defensive mode that you refuse to even think about the possibility of me being right. Come on, SD, you're not a stupid guy. Half of the posters on this thread probably got what I was saying, judging from the responses. You're smart enough to understand, you just don't want to.

Simply put, you said something incredibly offensive here, and when women point it out you go 'what? what did I say??'. When the women explain it to you, you get defensive about it. If you couldn't even realize what you said wrong here without being told point blank (and even then refusing to admit it), how many things do you think you said IRL that makes girls cringe inside, but the young women whom you associate with do not want to tell you that to your face? You might say 'None', but how can anyone believe you, when if I were to ask you, 'Do you think you said anything that could have been offensive here?', you would ALSO have said 'None'?

As I said before, it's your life. I'm no Teknoe, I don't have the persistence and can't really be bothered to keep trying to get through to you. I might if I were paid for it, but otherwise, no thanks. You can take my points or leave them - I'll only put them out there. If you genuinely believe that me and all the other people who agreed with me are off our rockers about the attitude that you displayed in your post being off-putting, and that there is no truth in it, fine. Carry on as you are. No skin off my back.
