kaylan Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I havent made a positive thread in a few weeks. So next in my series of positive threads I will ask this: Do you ever look in the mirror and just think "damn Im a good looking boy/girl"? I did this today while I was out at the store. That one good thought made me feel great while I was out running errands. So many attractive women were out, the temperature in NY is getting more comfy too. Things felt nice. Point of this thread? A little self admiration never hurts. You end up smiling and projecting positivity which others notice and can be drawn to. Confidence in ones self will def make your dating life better, 1
tigressA Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Heck yes, I most certainly have done that. I do feel positive about my looks most of the time, unless I have a huge zit on my face. 2

Author kaylan Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 I do actually. Photographs of course are a COMPLETELY different story. Agree. I take *****e photos. lolol
Author kaylan Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 Heck yes, I most certainly have done that. I do feel positive about my looks most of the time, unless I have a huge zit on my face. Positivity is gooood. Plus I just bought a new container of protein powder. First thought? "damn im gonna get so sexy for the beach this summer" lolz
SmileFace Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I miss living in the city since all the store displays have glass windows and I don't get to admire myself as much randomly walking around in the sticks, lol. Now I have to wait for the nearest shiny car, ha! I agree when I am happy with myself people are usually happy with me.
tigressA Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Can I just say that I have become LESS comfortable in this warmer weather? I think I have become really modest. I am so used to bundling up in my pants, sweaters and boots...my wool coats and faux-fur hats. I don't really want to start dressing lighter. I'm also not all that photogenic...I can only pick maybe 3-5 good pictures out of 150+ that are taken of me at a time. I look better full-on than I do in profile, too.
juliebijoux Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Agree. I take *****e photos. lolol Me too. I look like death in flash photography. When I look in the mirror sometimes I do go "damn you're hot" especially since I've lost 20 lbs recently. It is a fun confidence booster. 1
ThaWholigan Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I've been doing this a lot lately. I think I am getting better looking as I get older strangely, either that or I am just starting to like my face a bit more But yes, I do look and think "Good Gawd, I'm fine as ****" LOOOL. (Really need to replace the hairy stomach with a 6pack though......well, I've got till summer to get one ) PS. I hate my photos too, very unphotogenic.
Cracker Jack Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Starting to do this more often. I usually just look and say "I can be so much better with some modifications", but eh, that takes hard work. Some days I look much better than others, but it usually depends on my attitude. Either way, I need to continue doing this.
fortyninethousand322 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I don't look in mirrors. Maybe to shave or comb my hair but never in the way you're describing.

Warm weather is the best...screw bundling up...show some skin lol I just hate having to wear a coat. I like spring the best because its not too hot. I can rock a tee and jeans all the time. I like my body being able to be seen, not all bundled in layers. Plus my sleeve tattoo can start some decent convo. And psssh...you seem photogenic enough if your avatar is any indicator. I don't look in mirrors. Maybe to shave or comb my hair but never in the way you're describing. I was in the face wash aisle and the make up section is nearby. So I went to the mirror to make sure I looked presentable as I was out.

I just comb my hair throw on clothes and leave. So in this case I wouldn't have gone to the mirror while in a store. Nothing personal, I just don't do it.
tigressA Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 And psssh...you seem photogenic enough if your avatar is any indicator. Pssssh...yeah, that was one of four pics I liked, out of more than 200! Though they do say you are your own harshest critic.
USMCHokie Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Do you ever look in the mirror and just think "damn Im a good looking boy/girl"? Hahah, yes, every day of my life... My body is sick... 1
HughHardcastle Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Yes, but then I realize I'm actually looking through a window into my neighbors bedroom. 4
Leigh 87 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I do this a lot, and I am truly happy, because I realize: - I am happy because I like the way I look, not because I assume I look good to every one else - that the confidence it makes a lot of other people think I am attractive however; I am nto every ones cut of tea, even on the days I really like the way that I look. Once before, I looked in the mirror and thought " wow, I am hot"... .. only to ruin this mood, by thinking " hmm, that women is thinner than me, not all guys are flocking to me, gee, I thought I LOOKED HOT" NOw, I just accept that I like the way I look, and that is it. I feel good because I like what I see.
Star Gazer Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 The mirror on my dresser, yes. The mirror in my bathroom, two steps away, no. Very odd.
Real36 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I am by no means a beauty queen...but ocassionally I will catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror or window glass and think, ' damn girl, you look cute today!' When I feel good others seem to pick up on it too.
The_Joker Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Absolutely yes! I have, and would be considered to be quite physically attractive by a great many others too, and then I think to myself, "wow, any girl would be lucky to have me!" Works wonders for confidence And then, of course, I start talking to the girl I like... and that goes out the window lol...
