Ross MwcFan Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 He's looked at my results from my visit at the hospital, and he said there's absolutely nothing for me to worry about. He said that 2 of my heart valves have very small leaks, it's common. And it's this which would have been the cause of my heart mumur when I was a child (so basically, I've had this all my life, I was probably born with it). He said if anything, it wont even be as bad as what it was when I was a child since because I'm older my heart will have strengthened. He also said, that there's a small risk that once I'm very old, like in my 80's, that the leaks could get worse, and if it's bad enough, I would have to get the valves replaced. I said, if I'm exercising when I'm that old will it make the risk of that happening even smaller, and he said yes. So, at the end of the day, I'm perfectly fine, and the risk of me having any problems when I'm really old doesn't really seem to be any worse than the average person. I'm still going to carry on with the better diet though. 1
