I hade been trying to lose weight for about 2 years. Finally I stepped on the scale at a local grocery store and found I weighed a shocking 212 pounds. I had went from 135 to 212 in a 4 year period.

The next day I recorded everything I ate, I found that I was consuming about 4000 calories a day!

I would eat Mc Donalds for breakfast and lunch, fried foods for dinner and a late night snack of candy or ice cream.

I immediately changed my life. I exercise and eat healthy now for 6 WEEKS! I lost 5 pounds the first week and now I have went from 212 to 195. Yes, 17 pounds in 6 weeks!

The trick was I ate healthy for the first week

2nd week add light exericse

3rd week add walking or jogging

(I dance with my kids, play sports or just walk for exercise)

detox your body on the 2nd week. Go 2 days with just a healthy 100% juice for lunch and breakfast and then eat a nice diner. Chew gum in between meals, eat lots of veggies.

Drink a glass of water before and after every meal

Drink grape fruit juice or eat a grapefruit it will help curb your appetite

Take a day off on Sunday - on sunday I eat one of my favorite not so healthy foods to keep me motivated.

There are plenty of healthy fast ways to lose weight, if you need help just email me I know what it feels like to be alone and feel helpless against food.

Hope this can help someone

Are you CERTAIN it was 4000 calories a day? That was really bad. I'm glad you are making a change. If you were doing that, however, I HIGHLY recommend you NOT do this on your own. Get a medical professional involved. Talk to your doctor about what is best for you. There could be other health problems if you were eating like that.

I wouldn't chance trying to lose weight without getting approval from a doctor.

That doesn't sound very healthy. Seventeen pounds in six weeks? If you wanted to lose weight, you ought to have consulted a medical professional. You took a big risk. I may be wrong, of course, but that really does not sound so healthy. Additionally, five pounds in one week sounded a bit too fast. Try to lose the weight at a decent pace. Faster is not always better.

After reading the steps you described for losing weight, I definitely urge you to talk to a doctor about getting on a diet. The only diet that can work is a diet that you keep for the rest of your life. You should be eating, I think, three full meals a day. I do not think that you should be doing "juice only" fads or those detox things. These are only my personal opinions, but really... Please be sure that you are being advised by a nutritionist or doctor before taking this any further.

Accually 17 lbs in 6 weeks is healthy. Your first week of dieting you usually have a large weight loss due to water loss. Your loss averages to about 2.5 lbs a week. That's great! But if you start loosing any more than that per week check with your doctor. It's not healthy to loose weight really quickly. Sounds like you're doing great. Keep it up and always remember that nothing tastes as good as being thin feels :)
