iamlizzy Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I am in love with my ex who has been with someone else for over a year. Recently, after telling me to leave her alone, she contacted me to tell me she has never been able to stop thinking about me and is still in love with me. What does that mean? What do i do?
worldgonewrong Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Tread with caution. It might mean she broke up with the other person. And NOW you're the fall-back. If she really still loves you, then she's going to have to jump through some hoops to prove herself. 1
darkmoon Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 the "someone else" has got to go, if they have gone, then it's up to you to try again with her, notably, UK's Prince William and his Kate famously split - but look at them now!
Philosoraptor Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 What caused the relationship to fail? Have both parties involved worked to correct their issues that contributed to the relationship's failure? If not then you will likely follow the same path. But she needs time alone to work on herself and through her emotions before anything could start again.
smokey bear Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 woohooooo, ive been waiting for one of these posts, believe what she says, shes still in love with you
wilsonx Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I am in love with my ex who has been with someone else for over a year. I agree with smokey its about time. I was hoping to be the first one. Talk to her!
Author iamlizzy Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 Ok smokey and Wilson. Let's go with your advice... What do I do now? What moves do I make?
Million.to.1 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) is she still with this other guy??? Don't get carried away just yet. Take your time with this. There is potential for a lot more hurt to be had here so be kind to yourself. Edited March 7, 2012 by Million.to.1
wilsonx Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 This is one of those situations where other guy is irrelevant if there is one. Most people look at this in a black and white... well she has a boyfriend or so her facebook or friends say... remember he could be the doormat and she really doesnt love him. "She's still in love with me" expresses her feelings came back, been there done that and this is one of the most ridiculous feelings in the world when this comes out of no where. As for what you do? You let her talk to you and you decide what you want to do. You ask her questions on things that might make you uncomfortable (get all her ghosts out from the closet and on the table) and you set boundaries and enforce them.
tipsyleprachauns Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 You say recently having told you to leave her alone? Does one take this to mean you've been in contact throughout this year?
Author iamlizzy Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 Million to 1 and Wilson, we're both girls and she has a gf. And tipsy, we've always been in contact, we never really stop talking until 3 months ago when she told me to leave her alone
