CurlyIam Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 I am sorry to always be writing so long posts!!! NIN: You are as I thought you'd be! I am glad about the fact that you're not trying to excuse yourself, but react as a man: this is how you are and you are seeking for persons who enjoy the same type of personality, ready to accept some impredictibility in their lives and enjoy it! Americajin: What you wrote made lot of sense. I think you are absolutely right about the situation waitresses and bar tenders are put in. Also, your reasoning is very logical, makes a lot of sense. I think I was trying to say that other people, like NIN here, want different things. Are willing to risk more in order to find the kind of people they desire. It does not have too much to do with usual type of people reacting in a usual wayin a usual type of situation. I am really bad at explainig this and I'm not making too much sense! But NIN: you're a swell of a guy! I truly enjoy your type of personality but that's obviously strictly subjective! Oh, and another thing: maybe she was put off by the fact that you did this while with your friends! MAybe she thought you were trying to make fun of her, or of the situation, especially since you've asked for her oppinion! So maybe next time do it in such a way that only the 2 of you can see it! Just a thought, anyway! Curly
Pyrannaste Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 What if the girl who was waitressing didn't even take the heart shaped pizza crust as a 'I like you'message, but only as a joke/playful thing? I also think that what really makes the difference is whether the girl could have noticed you without the heart-shaped pizza crust or not. If a girl has already noticed you, thought you were nice looking, odds are she'll be delighted with such a gesture. If she has noticed you and did not like the look of you, such a thing will look creepy to her. If she didn't notice you at all before, she is either going to smile or give a shrug and then forget about the pizza crust thing (and you). Also, I think it is not probable that a girl who is waitressing is going to take seriously a gesture like this if it comes from a guy who is hanging out with his guy mates. Expecially if the other guys are giggling or looking at her reaction.... she'll be embarassed.
CaterpillarGirl Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 I'd be kinda freaked out, if it were me. She doesn't even know you.
