Nuggets Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Hello there this is my first post. Thirty-one and have been seeing this woman, who's the same age as me, for 11 months and we're friends with benefits but lately we've been getting a lot more emotional with each other. For the first few months it started off just as strictly sex. Was wondering is it safe to get emotionally attached to a friend with benefits? Thanks for reading.
carhill Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Welcome to LS It sounds like your FWB contract is in need of negotiation and a re-write. Schedule some face time and get to it. Getting emotionally attached to anyone, regardless of relationship type, is a risk. No guarantees in life. See how it goes. Good luck.
Author Nuggets Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 I broke it off with her. Don't like the idea of getting too close in an arrangement like this.

veggirl Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 LOL. Geez. Maybe she was interested in more as well!
dasein Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 You know, despite the abruptness of it, you probably did the right thing by ending it, as you are privy to the situation and we aren't. Have seen many threads here where NSA arrangements lead to bad feelings on one side or the other that could have been avoided, and none where NSA arrangements convert to happy LTRs.
