Sometimes I think I am cursed, my ex who dumped me 2 years ago to get back with her child's father now lives on my street. She's single now as he cheated on her yet again so i've heard from my mom.

The weirdest part when I dated her she lived a hour away from me, what are the odds that she ends up living on my street. The whole situation is extremely weird, as I see her everyday, her child's daycare is on my way to work and since she doesn't drive and at one point I treated him like my son so it doesn't really bother me to say drop him off and pick him up.

It's just weird as there is absolutely no mention of the past, it's like we never existed. I never saw her talked to her for like a year and suddenly every day I'm seeing her, the other day she told me your such a good friend, and I corrected her, how I'm not her friend, if the weather wasn't cold outside and her son's daycare literally wasn't on my way to work she would be sol.

Beside that everyone that knows us seems to think we still "love each other" and will get back together however I don't even know what I want at this point sigh.

Something important to remember is to not let anyone, her included, pressure you in getting back together.

It sounds like that's what people want and expect of you, but don't let them do that. Right now you sound confused as to your own feelings so I suggest you take some time and try to sort them out.

D*mn, Emperor, REALLY?! When it rains, it pours! Not making light of your situation at all, it's just that sometimes... I don't know, I don't have anything helpful to say. Life really just throws unexpected curveballs.

As for picking up the son, my perspective is that you're a nice guy and you're not letting your past with her get in the way of acting on compassion for a child that you care about. Most would default to "But that's your ex's kid, you shouldn't do stuff for her, it's none of your business now, etc." I'd default to that, even! Hah!

And I believe you when you tell her you're not friends - just as your ex should believe it, too. Hopefully.

You're a stand up guy with healthy boundaries, OP. I salute you.

I would try and get out of this situation still.
