Don't just tell him what you want but ask him his reasoning for the 2 year delay. But I also agree with others that people hide relationships for a reason(s) and most often, it's not for any good reason.

Has he had them before, and was he normal about them? - He likes you but your not the girl he wants to be super serious with, marry, have a future with, so there is no use in maing it a thing, because he knows it will only end, and have to explain it to his friends. REgardless, if he was truly into you, and viewed u as long term material, he would not hide you, unless he has serious issues; ion which case HE needs help, before u should fully be with him. My current byofriend did not take me out at first and show me to his mates, because I was socially akward and I was very socially inexperienced. So, we got serious, and I developed myselfd personally, and built myself up to the =point where I am totally fine, even great, in public. It does happen, but only in the very beginning, and if the people are serious, they resolve it... because it is NORMAL to show the ppl u love to the people who are around u.
