musicSaves12 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Why can't I just stop talking to her. Even though I'm talking to another girl who seems to be showing interest in me I still can't get my ex out of my head. Its as if even I started dating again I won't be over her. I might as well move out of the state. No a good day.
Philosoraptor Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Do you want to stop talking to her? If so there are things you can do. First you could block all ways for her to contact you, then not make contact yourself. Right now you need time alone to heal before jumping into something else because all that will do is bring another person into this circle of pain.
jus d'orange Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I totally agree with Philosoraptor. If keeping in touch with her is holding you back from getting through the healing process, you need to cut all contact -- unfriend her from Facebook, remove her from social media, delete her phone number (if you haven't got it memorized, you can give it to a friend to keep for you), etc. If you feel like you must, you can explain to her why you have to do this: that it isn't personal, but that you need space and time to heal. Likewise, you shouldn't pursue anything with another girl until you've healed completely and moved on, otherwise you risk unwittingly hurting this other girl with your uncertainty and emotional baggage from your previous relationship.
Author musicSaves12 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Yeah def don't want to hurt this girl. Thanks!
