ctes300 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I've started talking with a girl on OKC. We've exchanged about 5 emails of small talk and then 4 so far on where to meet. She initially contacted me and I asked her to meet and she suggested the towns, I mentioned that I knew them all well subtly implying I would take the lead. She replied with her suggestion. So she seems pretty assertive. My question is should I just meet, ask for her number or give mine? I don't really feel like talking on the phone as it can only take away from first impressions and add preconceived ideas. What does the hive have to say on the matter?
oaks Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Do what you're comfortable with. Sometimes I've met people before swapping phone numbers, and sometimes I've spoken on the phone before agreeing to meet.

Well, it's a form of communication so it should help you have a more realistic feel for the person rather than rely on emails. To me speaking on the phone is essential first because I don't want to go on a date with a weirdo. Nerves, anxiety is fine but he has to sound sane.
