I'm looking for what women prefer.....

I'm not overly hairy (body wise) just enough to look "Scraggly" in my opinion.

Patches on chest.... some on shoulders (not a lot) a little on back.

Do women prefer the bare look? (I'm in my 40's and phyically fit)-but don't like the look- I'm not sure if having it all removed is the way to go either....

Just looking for opinions......

Huh. Being East Asian, I've never been with a guy with chest, shoulder or back hair, lol. I think I would prefer men hairless there, I love running my hands over those parts and it feels great without hair, you can feel every line of the muscles without distraction. But meh, I also think shaving is a very personal thing and everyone should allow their spouse to decide for themselves. I would be pissed at a guy who kept bugging me to shave the carpet. :p

If I like you, I'll like whatever way you are.

Noooooo don't shave it or wax it! Men are supposed to have body hair. Keep your "private" area nicely groomed (maybe a little trimming) and let everything else be. It's manly and sexy (IMO of course...I'm a 24 year old female, for the sake of perspective)!

I second kiss_andmakeup's post! Shaving and waxing on men doesn't seem... right!

Don't have anything to compare it to, but my boyfriend is pretty much hairless everywhere, Except on the head. I kinda like that, but I don't have much to compare to anyway >.<

Love this post. It seems today that too many men are becoming feminized, and many times it's not because they want to, but rather they are made to feel insecure and coerced to shave their body hair off. I've always been a naturally hairy guy. When I was in high school I used to view it as a flaw. I've always been tall and in good to great shape, but it bothered me in high school until I got into a few relationships with girls that absolutely loved it. It seems to me that the media and related commercials have skewed the perception of people. I remember one of my 'friends' (no longer friends, mind you) told me back in the early years of high school that "NO girls like hairy guys, man! Shave your chest and your arms, bro! Too hairy!" Thankfully, I didn't listen to that idiot.

I used to tease one of my exes while we were together. I'd tell her, "Welllllll I'll shave off every bit of my body hair if you want..." conversely, she'd tell me, "If you do that, I'll stop shaving my legs!!":laugh::laugh: I often get told that I resemble or remind them of Hugh Jackman and Gerard Butler. And well, I don't mind that.

I don't like gorillas. Laser hair removal on your back and shoulders at the very least. Hair on the chest is more expected.

I totally get you, but I have to point out that this is the case for girls as well, especially the bolded. Most women probably don't -want- to shave either, but we have all been socialized to view natural body hair on women as disgusting, so women shave because they would feel insecure being the only unshaved one.

Personally, I wish everyone would accept the natural and healthy state of bodies, both male and female, as the ideal.

I'm hairy, and I love it.

The girls who hate it don't matter, and the girls who love it don't mind. ;)

Remember that truthful aphorism above.

I completely agree, and I am 31. If you shave or wax, then you have to continue the process so just don't start. It is easier and in my opinion sexier. Nothing better then laying next to the man I love and running my hand over his chest and knowing he is a man.

I like hair :) Not on the back or ass though.

I personally like men with no hair.

Under arm/'down there' is okay but anywhere else for me is a big turn off.
