thats_so_not_cool Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I have been with my current boyfriend for a little over two and a half years now. In those two and a half years we've been through a lot. We've gotten engaged, broken the engagement off, gotten back together, moved in/moved out, he's cheated on me more than once and I've forgiven every time... There's just a lot of crap and after some time apart we always get back together. He's moving for work in a few months and he asked me to go with him. I said yes at first, but then I backed out. Now I'm reconsidering and he seems completely unaffected with whether I go or not. Deep down I feel the best thing to do is just let it go but then my thoughts take over and for whatever reason I can't bear the thought of us not being together. Why can't I just move on???
darkmoon Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 oxytocin is a hormone women develop after love-making and oxytocin brings on a need to bond with the lover - i think that's why you are torn if a girl best friend asked you to to move with them, a girl who had been on/off with you like your guy - would you feel the same compulsion to stick with them?
Author thats_so_not_cool Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 i don't feel this sick compulsion towards any female
baguette Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 He's cheated on you more than once. Why wouldn't he do it again? I think this is a perfect time to break things off.
