Philosoraptor Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Does this really work? I hear this saying a alot To me this saying means to look at things how they are and not to over romanticize things. Look for compatibility and chemistry and allow the love to follow in suit.
Renard99 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I totally agree with the statement 'don't look for love'.... or at least for a long period after a breakup anyway. I made the mistake of doing it after my breakup. I met some people that were totally wrong for me and I was looking for love where it didn't exist. I also met some fantastic women who probably were right for me, but because I was in the wrong mindset, and not working on my recovery, I wasn't prepared for a relationship. Missing out on those fantastic opportunities made me even more depressed. Admittedly, I did eventually joined a dating site 'looking for love' but only after a long period of not looking, working on myself and being happy with who I am. Even then, I didn't go actively searching, I signed up to the site and just saw what kind of response I'd get.
Author smartguy Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 I agree It just this recovery is the hard part. and not make the same mistake of looking for somebody to date and create a relationship with.
Frank13 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I have a different view. Once you get over a break up, often times you become very happy being alone and single. Then the forces of the universe come together to bring someone into your life for you to fall in love with to screw things up. 2

I think you hit it right on the head, once you have healed and you are happy with your self and your life being single, then that special somebody comes and shakes that world up that you worked so hard to get going ....LOL great post Frank
EmperorR Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 every time I've been content single someone has popped up. Every time I've been looking for love on say a dating site or just anywhere
