So, the other day, I was on a blue screen set to make a quick $35 just for an hour of walking around and playing volleyball, and this pretty damn cute girl was there as well, doing the same thing.

They wanted us to walk around and act like a couple and push a baby carriage, so her and I just kinda playfully did some improvisation, me accusing her of sleeping with the mailman since the baby looked nothing like me, stupid crap like that, it was pretty fun.

We talked off and on about each other, what we were doing, where we were from, blah blah blah, typical stuff, I did the whole playful friendly bastard bit that I have down rather well, and it seemed to go pretty well.

When it was over, she mentioned, "God, I'm so hungry," so I say, "So let's go get lunch," and she says, "Well, normally I'd say yes but I'm in the middle of moving so I have to go take care of that before I can eat," and I say, "Oh. Well what if I were to ask you for your phone number so we can get lunch some other time?" and she replies, "I'd say are you ready to put my number into your phone?"

It kinda stunned me for a second, like, "Whoa...yay!" and then took out my phone and put her number in. We just talked a little bit ago and apparently she normally doesn't give out her number but found the way I asked to be really charming and such, so she couldn't refuse.

:D

At least I ain't as hopeless as I thought.

Kevin, That's awesome! Good for you. I've read in a couple of your other posts that you've been a little disheartened with your move and all and some of the people there in Cali. Sooo, I'm glad that you found somebody cool to talk to! Good luck with her; I wish you all the best.

Whoo hoo!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the "blue screen" you refer to? The only "blue screen" I know is when Windows informs you that it has just assasinated your Personal Confuser, and everything you've done for the last day is in the bit bucket.

Yes, awesome. :) Sounds like it was a great way to meet each other. Good luck with the future lunch date.

 No, not hardly. Cheers.

Hey, not nearly hopeless -

sounds like you've got a pile of work lined up! You'll have your own show by fall if this keeps up!

As for the rest, I never doubted you'd find someone. Silly fellow.

Well, that was like the first time I've really asked a girl for her phone number in such a manner. I'm pretty sure it was the first time. So that's kind of a big deal to me.

Blue screen is basically when you film a person in front of a literal blue screen and a computer generated background is added whereever blue is seen on the film/video/whatever.

As for work lined up, nah, not really. June is the deathzone for the industry, it's hiatus time, but luckily I got a job today, I'm doing the salesman thing again, hopefully could make some good money for a while until I save enough to say, "Screw this!" and focus on the acting thing. We'll see how it goes.

Wow! Hard to believe. Anyhoo, I never doubted you could do it - now, hopefully, you'll think the same way :)

One thing I thought was kinda cool was when we were talking today, she mentioned how she was so shocked that I did it, because apparently guys in LA aren't forward whatsoever, which is kind of surprising, not something I'd expect to hear, but there you have it.

All you have to do is ask. That's how you get the girl. :). Or vice verser. There is always a 50 50 chance things are gonna go your way. Lucky for you they did!

The night I met my current boyfriend I was first to ask his number (lucky I listened to my friend. Lol). Now we have been together for over 3 months. Things are going really good too. :D.

Good luck with your lunch date. Hopefully things will go well for you too and their will be more future dates. :).

They always use that "I never usually do this" type of line. I remember a few incidents where on the first night things went all the way, and I'd get a "I've never done this before!" There are exceptions to the rule, but I do not like to buy into that type of response.

HAHA! Quite true.

You're wise beyond your years, my friend.

Hey-hey... don't always disbelieve it. I know guys usually don't believe it, but these "never done this before"s are sometimes true, ya know!

Good stuff, Kevin :)

Time will tell about this girl. If Kevin wants to take a chance with her and feel things out, I'm certain he'll quickly realize if she might be trouble or something. Just that I will send someone to hit him in the head repeatedly if he stays with a trouble maker and gets all discombobulated.
