hunnyrose Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Hi everyone, I'm a little confused. I've known my Canadian guy friend for almost 2years online. At first it was chatting, then friendship and eachother giving dating advice to each other, however it then got more flirty and things. For his birthday last year I sent him a card and some little novelty gifts from the UK (as I'm from the UK and he's in Canada). Then when it came to my birthday he sent me some cute pretty lingerie, as he knows I love it and am always buying it. Anyway he says he's going to come to the UK and needs to save the money. So Valentines day this year he sent me some more really pretty lingerie from a website I buy from. So being curious I looked how much he'd spent on me, and he'd spent £60, which I think is a lot for someone you haven't met. So I'm just confused by whether he likes me or just wants to get naughty with me. When I asked why he'd bought them for me he said that I deserve nice things so yeah I'm very confused. Do you think he likes me?
Oxy Moronovich Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 2 yrs and the dude hasn't met you? And he's buying you stuff? Last time I was in Canada, dudes didn't act this lame around chicks. Have things changed in Canada since I left? 2

FitChick Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 If you've been friends for two years, then you should meet him. You'd have fun showing him around. Is he attractive? The sparks could fly!
Professor X Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Out of everything he could of buy you, he choose lingerie? Oh, I'm pretty sure he wants to get busy with you lol.
Ninjainpajamas Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Is it just me or is that kinda weird that a guy sends you or buys you lingerie and he hasn't even slept with you? But then again I don't recall buying anyone lingerie, I rip it off far too fast in the past...maybe now I'd let it marinate, I don't know. Anyway, I'm not really that kind of a guy but hey maybe it started off as some kind of a joke or flirtatious thing, but to send it to you on Valentines Day? :S Ok anyway, I mean it this time...I don't think you should be crossing that bridge having not met really, I mean ideally. If you ever met now the forefront of his mind will be seeing you in that lingerie, and If you don't mind then that's cool but If you were seeking a relationship then I'd have chosen to make something else the forefront of your interaction...now he's zero'd in on you sexually I can assure you. Make sure you meet him in a casual place though, and spend some time getting to know him in person as things may work out quite differently once he's standing there in front o you...you really don't know the chemistry or how the vibe will be...you might hit it off or be turned off by something. You've been allowed this nice fantasy without anything having to receive the stamp of approval called reality. Although I'm sure you have connected on many levels, I don't take away from the ability to connect with someone very strongly over a long distance.
Professor X Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Is it just me or is that kinda weird that a guy sends you or buys you lingerie and he hasn't even slept with you? Oh, definitely. I find it even somewhat creepy a bit, considering they are just "friends" and haven't met. I mean, this is something couples do, no? (at least that's what I think).
darkmoon Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 not odd no, the lingerie is a hint of things to come, while he saves his fare to meet you but is stuck on internet love atmo
