I am inexperienced when it comes to dating so I need some advice. I've known this girl for two months, and we've hung out but that was only because we had a common friend. I finally decided to tell her how I felt and I asked her to a dinner date four days ago. She told me that the first time she saw me, she was definetely interested, but she wasn't sure if it was a rebound from an earlier breakup. I think the date went well, and every time I've seen her since she has given me a hug.

I hung out with her again yesterday and we had a really good time. But the problem I have is our friends see us together and see us hug, but if they asked us if we were in a relationship I wouldn't know what to say. I really want to be in an "official" relationship but I don't know if she does. I'm stressing cuz I don't want to be in that friend zone. I'm thinking about asking her on another date, then after when we hug I'll go in for a subtle kiss. Is this too soon? What else could I do to help our relationship? :( I can't get her out of my mind!

For those who took the time to read this and give advice I am really grateful!

I don't think there's anything wrong with going for a kiss. If she rejects, at least you'll know she doesn't feel the same. :)

By the way, a little tip for the future: when you ask someone out, don't tell them how you feel.

You've been hanging out with her for a while, you've gone on an official date, she's touching you every time she sees you. Lights are green, now is the time to move forward. Let her see you find her desirable, go for the kiss.

Nothing is 100%, there is a possibility of rejection--but if you don't go for it soon, you run a very real risk of tipping over the precipice and into the friend zone. Rejection hurts, but you will live and grow and move beyond it...and it is really, really, really hard to get out of the friend zone.

Good luck.
