TaintedHeart Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 So do you have those stupid moments when you think 'He/she will come running back' Even though you know that it's not going to happen and you know that its pointless to even be thinking and holding on to this fantasy! I can normally snap myself out of it and tell myself to stop. I'm just wondering if anyone else does this?
Hafer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Completely normal, is part of the healing process, sometimes you just cant snap out of it, as you said, but dont worry, things will get better for you

As I said, some days I can snap out of while on others I hold on to the hope!
Hafer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 By experience, I can tell you that trying to distract yourself from this thoughts, specially when the BU is still fresh or when the feelings are still too intense, it`s not a good idea. If you need to lay in bed, adopt the fetal position and cry to sleep, do it. Pain will gradually fade away, give it time, but also try to find some empowering activities, read about how to use this experiences to better yourself, and such.

To be honest I think I've cried myself dry! I've been reading 'I can mend your broken heart' Which has helped massively but I think I've got to the point where I'm fed up with being upset ect..
Hafer Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 that explains everything, you are still in the "intense" stage of the BU
Author TaintedHeart Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 I'm getting there. After breaking NC time and time again I've decided that he will never hear from me again, even if he contacts me. 1
Hafer Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I sincerely hope you develop the mental strength of a masai warrior for you to succeed with your decision
Author TaintedHeart Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 I can either keep contacting him and hurting myself or stick to what I've told myself, 'Enough is enough'
SoulFinger Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Tainted who are you..the wise man or woman in your case or the fool?Remember Paul Mc Kenna
Author TaintedHeart Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 I'd like to say wise but I do have fololish moments. But I hope I do learn from this and become the wise man.
SoulFinger Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 We all have our foolish moments at times Tainted and that's fine.I have been on that road for nearly 21 months now and I'm still not as I should be but you can't force it.Take one step at the time and never ever fool yourself in thinking otherwise if you get my drift;)
Cocollective Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Sorry to hear that you're going through a BU. Sorry again to interrupt but who is McKenna and wise what? Rich
