Sandybeach Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Ok, this has been asked over and over again...but how many days do you wait to hear from a guy after a great date before you say "he's just not that into you"? We spent the afternoon and all evening together...great conversation, fun evening, he claims to have had a great time too, even commenting on how there was barely a silent moment between us. I sent a quick "thanks for a great evening" text after getting home, the message was reciprocated....so.....now what.....2 days has passed.
Ninjainpajamas Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 He should contact you tomorrow Hmm well It's Valentines Day...he might try and skate past that one
oaks Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 He may have read some stupid advice that says that waiting 3 days makes you more receptive when he does eventually call, but if he believed it then he's an idiot and you don't want to date an idiot. He may just be too lazy to call straight away, or shy etc, so don't completely write him off after just 2 days but don't just sit there waiting for the phone to ring either. To answer directly: about 4 days, not counting holidays.

wireen Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Maybe he's too busy..don't worry, he will call you soon
musemaj11 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 He doesnt want to pay for Valentine's Day dinner maybe.
Jane2011 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 In theory, two to three days is not all that long. But I'd still be annoyed by a guy not contacting me for that many days in a row after a first date because I'd always be thinking about other guys who did contact me quickly. The last guy I dated contacted me three hours after our first date, then again about seven hours after that. I like when guys show interest. It never strikes me that they have no life or that they're lame if they contact me quickly. Even busy people with lives are able to text and call people.
