Life is for discovering new things, forming meaningful connections, and having interesting experiences. The people that treated us like garbage....we can just look at them as the people who "did not make the cut." In other words they don't deserve to be in our lives. These people should be irrelevant. My ex once told me that my feelings did not matter...that my feelings were irrelevant. Well, HE'S irrelevant! As far as I'm concerned, he's Mr. Irrelevant. That man can't do anything for me. He can't help me. He can't comfort me. He can't treat me well. He can't do anything but damage me. Therefore, he's irrelevant!
