I have recently done a course of 10 indoor climbing lessons. The group consisted of 15 people and there was a guy I really like in this group.

 

I have climbed with him 2 or 3 times (I didn't have the same climbing partner everytime).

 

once you've finished the course you can go free climbing anytime you want in the climbing center. There's always other people there you can climb with at the center.

 

The course finished last week and I didn't climb with the guy I likes this time.

 

However, at the end of the course he came to talk to me and asked me to go free climbing together sometime and gave me his number. I now wonders whether this means that he likes me too ...

 

what do you think? it seems a positive sign but it could also be he was just looking for a random climbing partner?

 

what would you do if you wanted to go free climbing, would you ask someone from your group or would you go on your own to the center (there's always people you can climb together with)?

I asked him one week after he gave me his number, but he said he injured his ankle playing tennis so he can't go now (but he wants too when it's healed)...coincidence or excuse?

Well, I think if he was interested he would have said "I can't do climing, I hurt myself, but how about coffee instead?" If he didn't offer an alternative, I think he's not that interested. I wouldn't contact him again.
