Pornstars never look as good as mainstream celebs; most are butter faces and out of shape. Most pornstars, even when they work out do not look as good as A-list celebs who work out. It's very rare that I see one who does and facially most female pornstars are PASSABLE and not that attractive. Then again I live in L.A where everyone is an aspiring actress or model so I am picky when it comes to judging other females. Most pornstars are just your average American woman a few lb overweight etc. Even with boob job and cosmetic surgery they still do not look on par with Victoria Secret models or Megan Fox etc. Facial perfection in a guy is not necessary for me to get enjoy his scene. It's just not even close to being important. Well, maybe nor for YOU, but it is totally necessary for me (and many other women - as you'll hear them often complaining about the lack of handsome male faces and male moaning in porn). If facial expression was not important in general, then why so many video shots of female's faces in porn? Obviously men like that. But for me it's a total turn off after a while. I like watching close up of guy's faces during the money shot and to me their faces look good. Obviously we have different taste. Maybe you haven't been watching enough porn. Perhaps I need to search more as the current examples are not my taste at all... But if any ladies have found any Brad Pitt lookalikes in their porn, please advise. Edit: Oh and Mischa Collins from Supernatural. How could I forget this fine specimen of a man!?

I don't see why people compare Megan Fox to the female pornstars. I don't think Megan Fox is THAT hot personally. There are so many hotter females than her (and without so many plastic surgeries). Many female pornstars are hot in their own right, without looking like celebrities. And as I said before (it has been proven) average females have more pleasant characteristics than their equivalent average men. So that is the reason why you have to go to celeb status for men, but not for women.

I had to google most of the men listed (both actors and porn stars). I don't think many of them are all that attractive. With many actors, it is the role that makes them attractive or unattractive to me. jstarz is into those rough scenes. THe men who play that role well will increase in attractiveness in her eyes (and other women into that stuff). THat Misha Collins guy is just "meh" to me, but I've never seen the show. I can see how he would be HOT if his role is hot. I agree with jstarz that women in porn are not the equilvalent of young Brad Pitt hot. My H and I did watch last night, but we look for couple-type stuff. We found a scene with a women who was soooo pretty, and her body, while thin (like me), was natural looking--small b cups, had pubic hair, etc. The guy was her equal--clean cut, handsome, abs, but not hulking muscles or a huge member. She made eye contact with him--not the camera--and the sex looked like fun. They smiled into each other's faces at the end. Hot stuff!

You've got VERY specific tastes that appear to exclude large swaths of people who are extremely attractive. I looked up most of the male porn stars you guys are talking about, and they're all in the 7 to 8 range (discounting age), which is very attractive. Fox is at LEAST a 9, she really is quite hot, way moreso than the vast majority of actresses, but similarly as hot as most of the top models--but with a slightly worse body, her body is closer to average yet still solidly above it, but her face is stunning.

Ok, yes, he's attractive.....but I don't instantly want to watch him have sex. That is the wildly attractive mark I was holding them against, since we are talking about porn stars. But like I said, personality plays a huge role in whether I find a man sexually attractive or not--even if he is objectively attractive.

Well, if you're attracted to it, it's attractive to you. Not sure what qualifies you to decide what is attractive to anyone save yourself. Perhaps you're thinking about pretty or handsome or beautiful, which can, to a degree, be measured on an objective scale based on social norms - or what the average person's subjective opinion is. Even when using these terms, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and such objectivity as can be obtained is useful on a macro-scale, but means nothing at the personal level. Just because most men agree X Y or Z woman is pretty doesn't make the some who disagree wrong, does it?

I'm slightly out of the age range (at 23) but if I had to pick a "hot" celebrity I think I'd have to go with Sam Elliott . I just love that rugged look and that sexy voice.

For their own personal preference, definitely not. Within the context of discussing whether men and women in porn are attractive, yes, it does mean they're wrong. Megan Fox is painfully hot--end of story. Horrible actress--wouldn't even BE an actress we've heard of if Michael Bay wasn't such a hornball--but super-hot. The requirements to make a career in porn are pretty low and most stars are quite average. Most guys fave stars when name dropping goes on, are women who could be any average or above average girl walking down the street. The only porn where women are consistently more attractive, is high production mainstream porn, and most folks dont look at just mainstream porn anymore. However, even the most popular mainstream female porn stars are just average looking women with fake breasts. I prefer amateur porn myself. Seems more real to me, and I can relate more to it. I love the couples who take a camera and shoot their own stuff and make money with it. Mainstreamers dont control the porn market like they used to. And even now, in mainstream porn, the all the guys arent these gross looking out of shape idiots. Theres a good amount of porn out there with dudes who are in good shape. Theres so much porn out there that one can find anything that turns them on with a simple search. When women try and blame the "hotness" of porn stars for how they feel, thats their own fault. They need to figure out why they let it make them insecure. You never see guys get so insecure about other dudes being hot. People find a variety of things attractive. If I was dating a girl who got off on certain types of porn that were very different to my physical features, I wouldnt care too much. They don't bring that much to the table. I think the real reason girls get so jealous of porn stars is because we know a girl doesn't have to bring much to the table in order to catch a guy's eye. And I have to disagree about men never getting jealous when we see a hot guy. I've dated a couple guys who would get offended by comments I've made about actors in movies. She may have curiosities that can be satisfied by looking through the categories of porn like on You Porn and Spank Wire and if it leads to wanting to have real sex with me more, how could I possibly fault that? I probably would not want to know all her choices though. That's where fantasy which is totally personal and free can cause tensions in reality--it happens frequently when men leave an audit trail of what they watch and their partners start having feelings of inadequacy when they see how much and what they watch.
