goddess888 Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 My name is danielle and i am in need of some advice. My boyfriend and i have been having alot of problems over the past couple of weeks well it really all started when i got pregnant. He threatened to leave a couple of time while i was preg but i convinced him to stay. Before my son was born we moved out things got a little better but not much. It just seems like once Jayson came that was it he didnt need me anymore and i dont think he does. He acts like he could do without me most of the time. I think he is interested in one of his co-workers well i know he is he tells me about her all the time.I love him with all of my heart he gave the most precious gift in the world how couldnt i love him for that. I dont want my son to grow up without a father because i know first hand how hard that is but i dont feel there is anything there anymore. Today I asked him if he wanted us to fall apart and he said he kind of did he wants to go out and party and drink and all that stuff . I dont really dont know how to explain his behavior he is diffrent he is mean to me he has said so many things he wouldnt have ever said before. He wants me to go to work and i dont want to i dont want my son in daycare, so we fight about that all the time . He calls me a mommas baby and i am i admit it but words do hurt and he doesnt understand that. I know that it is probably best if we do call it quits i just cant bring myself to call it quits yet i dont know why (well i do I love him0 he is my babys daddy, my first love(well my first everything) I just need someone to talk to!!! HELP ME understand why???
estakado Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 You need to worry about your baby and not about this guy, if he doesnt want to be a father then he will miss out. Being a father takes responsibility and if he doesnt want it then you need to make a decision to let this dude go. He will come around but hopefully it will be too late for him.
Velveteel Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I'm so sorry you're going through this. It does sound like the best thing to do is ensure his financial support for the baby and then let him go. Maybe he will be a good father at a distance. All these things are easier said than done, I know, but think about your child growing up with a father who doesn't want to be there.
