I haven't posted lately because things are calm in my relationship. But our one year dating anniversary is tomorrow and I am amazed at how much has happened. In one year:

1) He changed jobs

2) He moved to a new apartment

3) I moved in with him

4) We traveled

5) We made new friends

6) I changed careers

I have to give him a lot of the credit for me making major leaps in my life. Knowing I had someone in my corner gave me courage to take chances. On our one year anniversary tomorrow, I will be resigning at work. I'm definitely afraid of my new adventure in starting a business, but he's there supporting me.

I read the forum and see people questioning and struggling. I dealt with that in all of my 20s and 30s. I'm glad I got a lucky break at 40 and met a wonderful man. I don't believe we are soulmates or forever, but I think we have a fighting chance to last.

I remember posting about my boyfriend a year ago and people scoffed about the age difference. I was worried too, but it seems our compatibility has outweighed our differences. We shall see what the future may bring. I'll keep you posted. :)

That's wonderful, Cee.

So happy for you. :)

Glad to hear a success story! Congrats to you both, Cee...

Congratulations, Cee :bunny::love: You've always been one of my favorite posters here and you deserve every bit of happiness. So glad to read everything is continuing to go well.

BF and I are celebrating our 1-year on Friday. I'm kind of surprised we've gotten this far, but things have stabilized a lot and we're both happy. We have a romantic getaway planned for the weekend. :)

You're livin' it, girl! That's what I call life. :bunny::)

Congrats and good luck with your business!

Is it luck or did you grow as a person? My mom told me I couldn't meet my soul mate until I was completely formed as a person (she also meant career-wise, among other things). I did take care of a lot of things, though, in my 20s and 30s but I remember them as constant struggling and moving forward with the last bits of strength.

Oh, c'mon, if you guys love each other, what's stopping you?

That's great. My two ex-husbands were 12 and 18 years older, respectively, and even though the marriages broke, it wasn't because of the age difference. Edited by RecordProducer

What a wonderful update :bunny::bunny: I've very happy for you :)

I was worried for a second after reading 'whirlwind' that you split up!

Well done Cee, very happy for you. I always say when you meet someone who is at such a different stage in life that he will either inspire you (as it happened in your case) or the two of you won't be compatible at all. There is no middle-way, which is what I think makes age-gap relationships so much fun :)

Good luck with the new business! :bunny:

Cee,

I totally understand the feeling of being able to do more with your life because you have someone in your corner. How great! Congrats on your year and good luck with what life has to bring. :)
