kaylan Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 This is so not gonna end well. I just feel it. Do you realize how hard it is to find jobs in this economy? Let alone across the country. How are you going to interview for these positions? Where are you going to stay when you job hunt? Things arent always as easy as planned....and with a guy who can disappear for weeks at a time, I think you are in for a rude awakening. O wells. I feel youve idealized this relationship way too much. A relationship thats shown itself not be positive for the two of you based on your past together. Keep us updated, but dont be surprised if this guy doesnt really move across the country with his psycho ex gf when all is said and done. Lifes not a fairy tale.

Well, I would never move unless he had already done so. He needs to make the first move. Re: the economy, I have some money saved up, have a career that is stable even in this downturn, and am not [particularly attached to my job. Life isn't a fairy tale but I think taking this risk, given that I don't have any kids or other obligations, is not outrageous. Yah, he might still turn out to be an ashole. There is a high likelihood of that. But even in that case, I don't think I would be any worse off than I started. And at least I'd know.
Feelsgoodman Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 But a few weeks ago, you still had a boyfriend. It's called branch swinging. Women do it all the time. Don't let go of the previous branch before you grab the next one.
