I see what you're saying, but on the other hand, I can sort of see it from their point of view too. It looks to them like you have something to hide.

And couldn't they find out the name of your ex-wife easily enough if they made inquiries. Surely there must be people that you and this new woman's father know in common. He could ask some relative of yours or a friend for her name and then contact her. Isn't that possible? So what good is it holding on to the divorce document....

The communication has as such stopped between us

 

I dont mind them making inquiry if that's what they want.

 

But i cannot have that document in his possession rest of my life

 

May be i will think over it. But its not an easy decision

 

We may tell them if they want to inquire go ahead by all means. But providing this document in someone elses' possession is something we never experienced and hence its difficult for us to make quick decision on this

 

I dont know where all this is going to go.

 

I like the girl, but if she valued me so much so far, why did she have to stop communication. I dont approve that idea of hers
