Meeks7 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I recently met this girl friend a few months ago. We don't know each other TOO well. I was emailing her, and in her reply she said "Hey you free to grab lunch tomorrow?" Should I pay for her? Is this a date you think? Or have I already been friend zoned? I know the dreaded "day date" routine... girls only ask platonic friends out to day dates.
USMCHokie Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I say yes. Pay for her. Who cares if you call it a date or not? Just have fun with her and get to know her.
Oxy Moronovich Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 No, do not pay. Whoever does the inviting pays. She invited you so she pays.
veggirl Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I think that sounds kinda datey Doesn't matter if it's during the day. It would be very nice if you paid for her, also it might make it more of a "date" in her mind! Have fun
PrincessPeach Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 It might be a date, it might not. She might be interested in you. It's really too hard to tell from your description. She asked you out, I don't think you should pay for her, but I don't think you've been friend zoned yet. Regardless, if you like her you, flirting is always nice. Tell yourself she likes you anyway, you'll come off as more confident and attractive.
Author Meeks7 Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 it wasn't a date. 5 minutes in, she told me about her new boyfriend. LOL. That's just how it goes sometimes, folks... And the beat goes on.

Star Gazer Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Someone you consider a friend, daytime, lunch, she asked. Not a date, 99.9% of the time.

dizy Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 idk if this can be considered as a date but she IS interested. so it would be nice if you pay, but if you dont want to, then just paid at least your lunch. seriously, those who suggest that she should pay because she invited you make me sick. if all guys have this mentality I will never ask any guy out for anything EVER again.
