(or GF, in some cases).

Last night I found out my crush, which has been going on since summer 2011, got a BF.

Oddly, I didn't feel sad. Well OK I felt sad 5 hours later, but overall, I first felt shocked, then mostly relieved and inspired.

I guess that's a sign I am not quite cut out for a serious relationship YET. I do know the things I need to work on first. You just have to be honest with yourself and know where you are at and discipline yourself to take those necessary steps to the next level.

So that's what I'll be focusing on :)

I do feel relieved that I don't have to "worry" about her whenever I see her going forward. There was always a slight feeling of anxiety. Now that's all over with.

Did you ever approach this person and make your intentions known?

Crushes are great :p

Sometimes just dating can help. I mean, just asking a girl on a date for fun & then have fun, no expectations no preconceived notions, just a date. It'll help build social skills & maybe even help build the confidence to ask your next crush out. And if not, that's fine too, dating is fun, most people take it way too seriously most of the time.

Nope.

We're just friends. I am seeing her 1 on 1 over coffee this Friday though. Strictly business, though. Besides, she's off the market now.
