Ok,

I got a good one.

It came up because i was chatting to some Asian girl in chat and she revealed to me that she watched the Lword and has watched all episodes and she loves it. Then i asked "but it's lesbian...."

and she claimed she wasn't watching it cause she's lesbian but because something about sensuality.

Now....I've watched clips of the Lword cause i wanted to see what the fuzz was about and what i saw is women doing passionate kissin, deep kissing, touching, and sex. I dont know about you, but If a woman wasn't lesbian or BI why in the world would she like to see that.

It's just proves that Women are turned on by sex of any kind. thus are bisexual at least.

THere have been many articles and studies about the bisexual nature of women but i keep hearing all this girls denying they are BI.

And not only this asian girl, many in Asia love the Lword and even straight girls in america.

I dont know but i just think they're in denial. I mean what guy who claims to be straight would stay there and watch Gay Deep kissing and sex.

what do you guys think?

I just think girls would have no problem dating girls. and in fact they do. They just don't call it dates cause they're scared of society. In other words "CLOSETED BISEXUALS". And the way they get around it is by the socalled "Going out with my girlfriends". WHich is basically dating girls without kissing .

LWord is a TV show. Girls watch TV shows. Girls will watch TV shows about "sensuality" because they like watching stuff like that from time to time, not because they are lesbian or bisexual.

Girls go out with their friends occasionally, just like guys go out with their friends occasionally.

Some girls are bisexual, some aren't.

Most women were bisexual before the L word. I learned that during high school graduation parties. So many of my former female classmates were going at it that some of them openly stated they'd been doing it for years.

I'm not going to lie: as much as I love men and everything that makes them different from girls, I'm very curious about women. Plus, it doesn't help that I've already had quite a few "sexual" instances with a girl when I was really young. But never did I do those things because I thought it would be "hot" to guys, but because I genuinely liked the girl and I honestly didn't know it wasn't a 'normal thing' to do back then.

I've never watched The L Word and have no desire to, but now that I've come to know it's not a 'weird thing' to connect with a woman in that way, I'd be completely open to dating a woman if the right one came along and sparked a connection... :o However, I still stick to men, because it's my preference.

That being said, by no means does it mean that most women are "closet bisexuals" in denial. Call me crazy, but I think there may be a good difference between experimenting with the same sex and being curious, and actually dating other women (as in long-term or short-term relationships).

You just proved my point. There's tons of women like you. Tons!

Girls just love girls that's all there is to it.

It's pretty easy to get two random women to go down on each other at the right point in the evening after some drinking, hetero, bi whatever. Have seen it many times.

Try floating that idea with two random men no matter how much booze is involved and how late it is. Be ready to run.

Exactly!!!

Again, Women love women. That's just how it is. But what i'm saying is, why are they in denial and tricking men and not telling the truth. And also why are they faking that they like men that much when in reality they love women much more and fantisize about women and want to be with a woman.

I just saw some Asian actress who was in all kinds of shows as a straight woman and faked that she liked guys in interviews and then now finally she comes out and says she loved girls since she was in junior high. And actually another famous one too, all faking that she likes men and now she comes out and says the truth and has a GF.

Come on, we all know most girls are BI and prefer girls so just stop lying.

OP, you know absolutely nothing about women and will probably never be intimate with a woman so why does it even matter?

Wow. Way to miss the point in my earlier post.

Do I like women? Yes, but not just in a sexual way. I am curious about them, and about dating them. But to say I 'love' them like that is going overboard. Is it not at all possible for a person to admire their own sex? I admire women (in general) for the way they think, their emotional openness, their strength, and lastly... their beauty. Among other things. Just like I would admire my mother, my best friend, or a sister.

But what i'm saying is, why are they in denial and tricking men and not telling the truth. And also why are they faking that they like men that much when in reality they love women much more and fantisize about women and want to be with a woman.

Frankly, that's a load of bull. For example, I know for a fact that I fantasize one hundred times more about men, and it's always been that way. I also don't 'love women' more than men. Really, you jumped from saying that all women are bisexual at least to, "They love women so much more and fantasize about them all the time and want to be with a woman. They don't even really like men, they are faking and tricking them." What? That's a bit extreme. It just shows how little you seem to actually know about bisexuality, because otherwise, you'd know that it's possible to like both men and women for their own differences.

Honestly, you seem so eager to jump on this 'All women are bi' thing, maybe you'd just be better off believing it and going along your merry way.

Exactly. I can't stand posts like this. They come on convinced that what they are saying is correct so why even ask the question? You don't want to hear feedback. So yes all women are bisexual. We secretly want to suck and nibble on other women and if we aren't doing it we are thinking about it 24/7. Done.

Lol @ this bs thread. Look up stats...not many women are truly bi. Just because a couple of bar girls make out doesnt mean anything. And OP forgets that women can watch tv shows, dress a certain way, and drink a type of drink without too many people scrutinizing whether she is gay.

First everyone thought metro dudes, hipster guys, punks, and rocker types were gay because of their style of dress. Some ignorantly still think so despite them getting women. Some guys wouldnt be able to admit watching Sex and the City or Will and Grace because some stupid people say only women and gay men watch those shows. Despite them being entertaining and funny. And guys like JD on Scrubs likes Apple Martinis despite them being a "chick drink" when alcohol is alcohol at the end of day, but someone would call it gay.

Its all irrational bs tbh. I watch Friends but im black, even though some people call it a "white show". Doesnt mean I need to be white to watch it.

Hell I was at the barber shop one day, and everyone was talking about the show "How I Met Your Mother". One guy had the nerve to say he stopped watching the show because Neil Patrick Harris is gay in real life. I couldnt think of something more stupid and ignorant to be said. He said "How are you gonna try and be getting girls and **** and you gay...I couldnt watch it no more with that going on"

And im sitting there thinking "idiot hes an actor...and his character is great in the show and in Harold and Kumar movies as well. Who the fvk cares if hes gay in real life. Its stuff like that which skews public perception of just how many les/bi women are out there. And its why people cant just watch tv and and crap without people jumping to silly conclusions.

Mostly women went to see Brokeback Mountain when it came out because a lot of dudes were too scared people would judge them for it, or they really just had no interest in it. But for the people who did see it, it did not mean they wanted to have sex with gay men, whether they were male or female. Some folks just like a good love story. I know I do myself, and have seen parts of the move, but couldnt connect with it because it was a same sex love story. I dont connect with lesbian romances either, so I have never watch the L word or ever been interested in shows/movies with a mostly same sex focus.

Most women were bisexual before the L word. I learned that during high school graduation parties. So many of my former female classmates were going at it that some of them openly stated they'd been doing it for years.

Depends where you go to school. Every study Ive seen states otherwise to the OPs premise.

Plus just as many guys are rumored to be bi but suppress it or stay in the closet since its not socially acceptable in the same way.

Makes sense though, since straight men create the status quo and pop culture reflects our wants. Its no wonder bi women and bi men get a double standard. I prefer straight girls myself though. I dont go ga-ga over two women like the typical dude. Plus Ive seen guys get bailed on by their gf for another chick after he pushed threesomes and her seeing women too far. He got his wish though:laugh:

You just proved my point. There's tons of women like you. Tons!

Girls just love girls that's all there is to it.

1 example doesnt prove your point. We have gay guys post in the LGBT part of the forum, and even a couple bi guys post here in the dating forum. The guy with the "passion party" thread is bi.

It's pretty easy to get two random women to go down on each other at the right point in the evening after some drinking, hetero, bi whatever. Have seen it many times.

Try floating that idea with two random men no matter how much booze is involved and how late it is. Be ready to run.

Bar girls dont prove anything. Some of those girls who make out in bars are not even bi. They wouldnt ever go down on a girl or date her but theyd kiss her. I know girls like this. Plus I went to a hugely liberal college with a sizeable LGBT population.

The school got that way because our mayor was the first in the state to do gay marriages some years ago. The towns always been friendly and open to all people. It wasnt uncommon to see two guys make out in the bar either. Its just that you had jackazzes making faces at the dudes and being immature about it as if it was a big deal.

People like who they like but any study will show you the vast majority of people are straight, some of them with certain levels of tendencies they suppress because of culture.

This thread is a perfect example of the differences between male and female logic.

Male logic: if you are sexually attracted to the same sex, you are gay or bisexual. Your actions and desires determine your sexual identity.

Female logic: if you are sexually attracted to the same sex, you could be gay, bisexual, straight, asexual, zoopheliac or just about anything else. Actions are of no consequence; it's all about how YOU chose to identify yourself.

I've noticed women in general are very concerned about maintaining a certain image for themselves...but not necessarily with living up to it. That's why the sluttiest of women will try their hardest to pretend that they are good girls.

Yes, a fictional scripted TV show and one chick you talked to online proves everything about every woman everywhere. Sheesh.

Seeing sexual acts turns people on. Its how our bodies and brains are wired. It proves nothing of our individual sexuality. There have been studies done on men as well. Most men become aroused when exposed to gay pornography. If not physically at least enough to show on an EKG. It doesn't mean they sexually crave men. It means their bodies are responding to a stimulus. Nothing more. nothing less.

Yes, most straight men show a reaction to gay pornography that can be picked on an EKG. But that reaction is repulsion, not arousal.

Can either of you provide links to these studies?

Either way the porn someone watches has nothing to do with their orientation.

Hell lots of lesbians love gay porn but arent attracted to men. It is what it is.

So you're saying that a straight man could enjoy watching gay porn? What would you watch it for? The story and the acting?

Im saying anyone can watch any kind of porn and it have nothing to do with orientation. Who they are attracted to in real life dictates their orientation.

So yeah, if a straight man or woman sometimes watches lesbian or gay porn, the only thing that says something about their orientation is who they are aroused by in the real world.

I know I watch some porn that has nothing to do with my real life attractions. For example, I watch a good bit of BBW porn. But Im attracted to slim women when Im out and about, and bigger girls tend to not get my attention.

Really?? Isn't that kind of like saying that anyone can be a Neo-Nazi without necessarily being racist? Maybe they just like the swastikas and the uniforms and find Hitler cute

You guys do know the show isn't porn, right?

Watching television doesn't prove a girl is bisexual or a lesbian, actually going down on another girl does.

To answer your question Qguy.. Yes, the show is based on reality and every.single.woman in the world is bi-sexual.

So, next time you talk to your mom, or your sister, or your aunt, or grandmother, know that they are bi sexual.. Lusting quietly after other women, all the meanwhile being married, having children, living life happily.

Sorry for the sarcasm and for being a smart a.ss here, but your question is really out there. I truly hope you don't believe that every woman in the world is bi sexual.

Way to twist what I was saying.

You are talking about someone actually being a Neo Nazi. That argument doesnt apply, because I am talking about someone watching footage, but not being attracted to or personally relating to the footage.

Ive watched reports on neo nazis and racists before. Does it mean Im racist? No. It means I was interested in the why those people think the way they do. Racism and info gathering is very different from sexuality, so use a better argument next time.

Some people watch horror films all the time, but does it mean they want to murder people? No. So lets be real.

What people watch for entertainment usually has very little to do with their actual beliefs and desires.

I'm a woman who actually has dated and had sex with other women, and I've never watched the L Word for any kind of sexual or sensual appeal--I have watched a few episodes of it, it's just a standard relatonship-focused drama, not a big deal. A little boring, frankly, IMO, and certainly not arousing in any kind of overt pornographic way. I have watched gay porn that was man-on-man and much more intriguing sexually than the L Word, but I'm not a gay man. I'm married to a man, and happily, and monogamously. Oh, what a mixed-up topsy turvy world we live in.
