FaithInTheDark Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I am just curious if men are attracted to bigger girls. Im not talking about morbidly obese ..im talking about women who are curvy with a few extra pounds. I would like to hear some views from the dudes on this topic. details ppl
alphamale Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 i'd say most guys like a little "junk in the trunk" as long as its not excessive...
FitChick Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Like Beyonce or JLo or Kim Kardashian, would be my guess. Lotta junk in those trunks.
bean1 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Men love curvy women. But what men consider "curvy" is not what the many women consider "curvy". And it's definitely not what most overweight girls consider "curvy".
FitChick Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 If the OP is getting dates, then obviously those men like her body type. If not, then the answer is again obvious.
bean1 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Absolutely! All men have a preference but all extremes aside I think most are happy with normal/average and some reasonable leeway on each end.
Fondue Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I personally do not go for bigger girls. I genuinely prefer thinner girls, like say... Natalie Portman. Every man (and woman) has their taste, that's why beauty is subjective. Just cause I don't like extra junk in the trunk, doesn't mean the dude next to me wouldn't kill for it .
Ninjainpajamas Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I would say most guys do not. We'd rather have someone who is in shape and can see their body rather than just this sponge bobs square pants look. But yes we see curvy as a few extra pounds, most other women see curvy as a way more than a few extra pounds with looooots of curves. Does this mean a man won't date you or be interested? Maybe and maybe not, I'm not into "larger" women but have dated them...but it still kinda bothers me, I've never gotten used to it and it's never changed my preference.
carhill Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 My exW was around 170 @ 5'1" for most our M. She looked a lot like Valerie Bertinelli (same age) when she (Val) was heavy.
salparadise Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Well, most men would prefer that their women conform to their ideal in every way I suppose but that's not realistic, just like women would probably prefer that that their men be well endowed, filthy rich, and as smooth as Elvis. But people are just people and thinking you can find a great relationship and eternal bliss by writing tight specs and holding out for perfection is just foolish. My gf is curvy and while I wouldn't mind if she lost a few pounds I'm certainly not holding it against her. She is caring, smart, gracious, funny and fun-loving, honest and sincere, and completely genuine. She is beautiful through and through. I wouldn't give up any of those characteristics for a thinner specimen, and you can bet that I'll never mention it either. She's the most beautiful woman in the world to me and I make sure she knows it.

Casablanca Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Men love curvy women. But what men consider "curvy" is not what the many women consider "curvy". And it's definitely not what most overweight girls consider "curvy". This is very accurate....the definition of curvy has been changed by different groups...I don't mind a few extra pounds, but a few extra pounds for me means maybe 10-15lbs overweight...perhaps 20 depending on how they are proportioned...they might be curvy, they might not be...but curvy is definitely not someone only has "curves" because of love handles/rolls. Everyone has different tastes.
somedude81 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 For me, not really. My number one rule for a woman is that she can't weigh more than I do. And I'm 150. I'm also only 5'6 and prefer women my height or shorter. I also want a girl to be height/weight proportionate. So it's not really acceptable to me for a woman to be something like 5'2, 140. The last girl I had a crush on was 5'8, 140. Even though she was out of shape and had a bit of belly, I was totally fine with it.
Wolf18 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 My exW was around 170 @ 5'1" for most our M. She looked a lot like Valerie Bertinelli (same age) when she (Val) was heavy. Wow! The enraging part is I bet that even at her weight, she probably still had the ungrateful attitude of a hot girl and men still wanted her. Imagine how lonely our lives would be if you or me were 5'1 and 170 lbs. Actually , I'm 5'8 and 156 lbs (and none of it of fat) and still can't get girls to even high 5 me.
ThaWholigan Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I do like 'em curvy admittedly, sometimes a girl can look real good with a couple of extra pounds
Andy_K Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Curvy yes, flabby no. Depends on how it is carried, some girls have the right genes for it and some don't. Links some pics and I can give a more specific opinion
kaylan Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I'm 5'8" and 146lbs. My gal is 'fit' and I like women like her...under 5'5" and 130lbs or so max. I like being able to walk with my arm around a slim waste. This is even sexier than big boobs. Nothing wrong with bigger gals. I'm just not a big guy and like a gal to fit proportional to me. Damn brah...Im 5'9 and 180...maybe 185....yall are skinny. *feeds burger* lolz

alphamale Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 For me, not really. My number one rule for a woman is that she can't weigh more than I do. my number one rule is that she can't beat me up

Hey, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, exW's had a live-in BF since before we divorced and he's stick-skinny and a pretty good bloke to boot. So, there ya go. She's cute and makes a good living and owns her own home, even if she's 'bigger' and 'over the hill' at 52. 'Nuff said. Plenty of guys are attracted to 'bigger girls'.
neowulf Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Another +1 for curves. I'm actually turned off by really thin girls. The biggest turn on is a great, classic hour glass figure. Big boobs, thin waist, wide hips.. ... /droools
Feelsgoodman Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 The thing about the curves, it all depends on where they are. As another poster suggested, men and women seem to have a vastly different idea of what the term "curvy" means. When men think of a hot curvy girl, they think of someone who has a narrow waste, tight round butt, and large shapely breasts (basically, the porn star look). Women, on the other hand, seem to take the word "curves" quite literally...as if it doesn't matter whether we're dealing with a case of curvy breasts or a curvy beer gut.
tangerinetrees Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 From a woman's perspective. I am more than curvy and I'm honest and open about it. I love who I am and I put myself out there. I have gotten plenty of dates off of internet dating sites in the last few months since I started dating again after a divorce (yes, guys...plenty of second and third dates, too.) I really believe that the key to success is HONESTY! I am honest about my body thru my words and my pics. I always include a full body shot. How much would it suck to show up to a date and have the guy be shocked by what's standing in front of him?! I also really believe that its my confidence that brings a lot of those first dates back for second or third dates. I love me and I put that out there. Good luck!!
dasein Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Depends on the curves, I can function sexually with a woman who is overweight with a good high hip/waist ratio, but if she has no waist or significant hanging flab on the arms? no function at all.
