ms.love Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I finally started to hang around more with a guy that I have liked recently. We were at lunch with some friends and I accidentally stood on the back of his foot on the way out the door, now I know this can hurt but it was an accident. I apologised and while I am saying sorry he starts cursing in a really angry tone. My friend then says to me "Keep away from him" and gave him a look of disapproval. Would this put you off? It makes me actually cringe that someone could have such a short temper, or am I over reacting? Another thing I find, is a lot of acquaintance's give him looks of disapproval from a far. I don't know why though but no one seems to be warmed to him. Or they could be looking at someone else but my gut says no. I only noticed this after the incident at lunch so maybe I was just in a fantasy of my own until now. Are these very bad red flags?
bean1 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Yes it would put me off, but that's because I'm Canadian so I figure he should have apologized but in all seriousness, I think that's pretty bad. Now, when someone gets a short dose of pain, it's not unusual to get pissed off and swear, but if everyone thinks he's an ******* then he probably is. Being "misunderstood" is a stretch in most cases.
Philosoraptor Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Sounds like he has a problem with his temper. Sounds like everyone else has seen this side as well.
Sith Apprentice Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I've had several women step on my foot by accident. I recently had a woman step on my foot while trying to kiss me on a first date. I always just laughed it off. This guy sounds like an abusive jerk.
TheFinalWord Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Yeah, it shows a lack of self-control (one trait of immaturity)
