takealookatyourlife Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 A little while back my Ex deactivated her Facebook account. Every so often she shows up in my search bar at the top which I am assuming is because she reactivated her account. Usually, after the profile is visible for a little bit it goes back to saying, "The page you requested was not found. You may have clicked an expired link or mistyped the address. Some web addresses are case sensitive." Most likely because she deactivated her account again. My question is pretty basic, how come on my search bar at the top this person stays visible when I begin somebody whose name starts with the same letter, when this is not the case for everyone else. I have a Fan Page that I can "switch" my Facebook to (instead of using my personal account) and when I search the same thing there: the person is gone (which you'd assume they would be since they're deactivated). Same thing when I had my friend checked because we were curious. She doesn't show up. But on my personal account she still pops up when I do a search... (even though their page is technically gone). Anyone have any idea why? Is just simply Facebook not catching up... Anyway, not a big deal, just curious. Back to the Nat'l Chmp. game! Roll Tide! Thanks
M2155 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I blocked someone and they continued to show up in the search, Loke it was remembered. So it wasn't until I logged off (I think) that it stopped showing up.
AlisaMarie Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 It's simple, she deactivated it so you didn't have a chance to delete her. She can log back in for moments to creep, then deactivate once again. If she's deactivated in facebook land, she doesn't exist, therefore, you can't delete her. She won't show up on anyone's. Very sneaky tactic to keep tabs on ya, that's all.

She could easily do this by keeping her account open and blocking you, and then unblocking when she wants to snoop and then blocking you again so you can't see her. She obviously would prefer not to use FB for whatever reason., which is understandable. I think it has more to do with FB remembering your search history. Maybe clear your browser history? If her page is remembered by your computer from when you used to look at her page, it may just keep showing up... Give that a try. Clear your history.
flitzanu Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 yeah. the logical explanation is that she's a tech genius and FB ninja. clear your browser cache, cookies, and history.
