ThaWholigan Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Been a bit of an odd last few days. It seems every social encounter I have had is getting better and better. I feel as though I have underestimated where I am currently in terms of my social life. I was speaking with advisers about employment and what I should do. I explained that I wanted to go into sales and marketing part-time because I would like to acquire the ability to sell, which would help me in all areas of my life socially. I was then told by all of those advisers that they believed that I already had those skills, and were confident that they could find me a nice little earner within the next 2 weeks. Now, sandwiched in between those two encounters, my bro and I spent some time out, and I felt different. I didn't feel inhibited anymore, I had to check myself for a hot minute (). My posture was relaxed, I felt fluid, and I was getting a LOT of eyes at me. Talked to some girls briefly, got one BB pin off a tall black girl (5' 10), will chat to her a little later . I didn't realize that I had learned to use my eyes so well, and my words flowed easily. So I think that the small improvements I have been making are causing a much bigger impact than I thought. I'd like to hear how some of you have been making improvements and how it is corresponding to your dating life. Honorable mention to Dust, you really can say anything to a woman if you use your voice right (All I said was "hi" lol. Might not work online but offline....). My next step to improvement is definitely fitness, I want to be athletic. Whats your improvement goal??
HughHardcastle Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I plead ignorance on what exactly "a BB pin" is. You'll have to fill me in. Always good to read about someone trying to better themselves, and how it seems to actually be working. My goal is to go the gym every day from this past Saturday until February 11th, the date of my friends wedding. I am in the wedding party as a groomsman, and I want to have the confidence in myself to be able to approach a woman, if the situation should call for it. I already go 2-4 times a week as it is, but I really want to go into "overdrive" this time. Also trying to eat better to go along with that. I have no doubt I can do it. On April 1st, 2010, I joined this same club, with the goal of getting under 200 pounds before my friends wedding on September 25th. I was 252.2 when I started on April 1st. On the morning of September 25th, I was 198.8. LEVEL UP.

You don't want to injure yourself or burn out by working out everyday. I do weights every other day, walking on alternate days, because those microscopic muscle tears you get from lifting need a day to heal. That is how your muscles grow and strengthen. Diet is more important for weight loss than exercise, although thanks to The Biggest Loser people think it's the reverse. If you deprive yourself, you will binge later. I still have treats but add them into my daily calorie count. Exercise is good for maintaining your loss later on though. You have to make it a habit. Once you've lost the weight you might want to try something different for exercise like ballroom dancing. There is always a shortage of men in those classes so it's an easy way to meet women. A co-worker took a class and complained it was full of middle-aged women. What wound up happening was he still had fun and one of those women thought he was such a nice young man that she introduced him to her daughter!
HughHardcastle Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Well, going to the gym could be something simple like today, I played pickup basketball for an hour. That got my heart going quite a bit. I lifted the previous two days. Will probably end up doing that tomorrow, since my time will be short since I have to work tomorrow night. And there is no chance I would ever join a ballroom dancing club or something like that. WAAAY too self conscious.

BB Pin is your blackberry messenger code. Well, going to the gym could be something simple like today, I played pickup basketball for an hour. That got my heart going quite a bit. I'm a terrible dancer (I have dyspraxia so my co-ordination is awkward to say the least lol). I do try to dance in clubs and that, and nobody really notices so it's not so bad it seems. Will possibly look at attending a dance class, don't know which one though.....Oh, get a kettlebell. Swing that around and you will get a proper workout . Congrats on your weight loss so far. I agree, diet is very very important, and it's imperative that one has a very balanced diet rather than a restricted one. --------------------------------------------------- - I have finally bought a kettlebell so I'm gonna use that to workout with. - Spoke to that girl, says she's seeing someone but thought I was cute so gave me her pin. Bit of an eye-roller () but still flattered. Will keep the pin for now. - Going to be trying the 21 day rule. Going to stop watching porn, masturbating and waking too late. (Will try to factor in making instrumentals, as I have been getting offers to buy, which is great.) After this one, I'm going to talk to a stranger/girl every day for 21 days, to get myself in the habit of making great convo. - Looks like I'll be getting some work soon which is good, so I can buy some new clothes. Need to get some photos done aswell so I can accompany my music with some pictures. Only problem is my pictures don't capture me well enough (I'm not photogenic, I personally think I look much better in real life).
