I'm noticing a trend in workouts for women and the whole women's health.

Women who do al this working out are becoming buff and they claim they feel sexy. Well sure, to themselves.. But not to men!!!!!

Look at some examples of the women promoting workouts for women : Jilian Michaels, and then the Pink Method. They have in common?? They're buff.

And the women who do these workouts become buff. And the whole message that women are getting from these and other advices from health expert women is that they need to look buff and ripped like Jilian etc to be sexy( oh please.. that doesn't look sexy)

So the whole sexy/pretty/cute, at least in america, is becoming obsolete. Yeah they may still wear sexy stuff and try but who wants to see a buff women with ripped legs in a miniskirt. hehehe. not me.

Luckly some women do not give into this so they excercise for health but it's not intense to look ripped. so that's fine.

But yeah the whole "i workout PX98 and I'm buff and i have energy and i feel sexy" is not making them sexy to men at all. Have you guys seen the way women in those PX98 infomercials look. All buff and ripped.. and then all the testimonials of women who used it are women who became strong and ripped.

Some people claim, i just want to look toned. If that's what toned means then no thanks!!

I'll put some images of what i mean.

Here's a bunch of PX90 woman. and Jilian Michales.

So this is what Many Women think it's sexy??? And that's what they want to look like? Ok fine but i'll pass.

Some Women may not want to look like the following but once they start programs like P90x etc, they get hooked and naturally they get like this.

Compared those Buff/toned women to these. Pretty and Slim asian girls.

I would think men prefer these just like i do.

And what do they do? They also do exercise but they're not trying to get buff and get big biceps and ripped thighs like the way Workout programs in America are promoting women to do..

This is not a widespread phenomenon. I have yet to see any women (bar Jodie Marsh), go for the bodybuilder look with the intention of looking attractive to men.

Don't read too much into this, Quietguy. This is a minority.

I think you should spend less time with interweb womenz and more time with actual womenz. Much less a trend there.

How ripped are you, Quietguy?

I used to read a bodybuilding forum and a lot of those guys would DROOL over the ripped look on women.

Oh i see. Well from what i see in tv and all these workout programs for women, and then P90x thing, it seems like many women want to become like that but good to hear it's a minority

Oh, that isn't sexy?! Jeez, I would have had no idea! Good thing I have quietGuy13, LS's resident weirdo, to keep me informed on what exactly is "sexy" in a woman. :)

Oh just go to Thailand and buy a wife already.

Toned maybe...

Definitely not buff and ripped.

I go to the gym and barely see any women picking up any free weights.

They're all on the bikes and universal machines.

Not sure if you're joking or never been in thailand, but prices outside the cities are roughly 1$ for a meal and 2$ for a bj. It's one of the countries where any guy from the US can say that money isn't an issue to a girl.

A lot of women do seem terrified of bulking up. I've been checking out nerdfitness.com, and one of the moderators got an amazing body by actually doing powerlifting, really heavy weights with low repetition. (http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/)

I do free weights for my upper body, but honestly I can see why few women venture that way. It can be quite intimidating... 5'1" girl doing arm curls with wussy 30 pounds, while the 6'2" next to her is grunting like some exotic South African primate curling tree trunks.

But, I'm already over there, so I figure, maybe she's got the right idea. I'm gonna look ridiculous when I try it, but maybe I'll finally get that amazing body. Sure, it may be too bulky for the OP, but I ain't ever gonna look like the Asian females he idolizes anyway.

It costs money to bring home a wife, no matter what country she is from. As I understand, the "mail order bride" process includes financially supporting your new wife. Something the OP cannot do, so yes I was serious.

Curling 30 pounds isn't bad for a girl of any height. I weigh around 154 at 5'8 and curl 50. But...why do you want muscular arms? Women should do cardio.

I think women are trying to build muscle to appease the new generation of men like Kaylan who want to be bench pressed and dominated by their girlfriends :lmao:

Anything that gets women actually doing strenuous exercise is fine by me. 65% of women in my area are obese, so I don't care if they come out looking like Hulk Hogan as long as they do -something-. Will take a bit too much definition over flabbity jabbity arms, siderolls and cankles any ole day of the week. Go P90X girls!

Yes. Because that's what women work out for, not for themselves, no -- but for men. I mean, who cares if they're completely satisified with their bodies, or even proud of them? If they're not attractive to men? Pfft. That's the end of that. Because obviously, every single thing they do from when they first wake up in the morning, is for men after all. They get up and eat a healthy breakfast, for men. They shower and clean themselves, for men. They run out and go to the gym, you guessed it -- not for the sake of their own health or for the fact that they want to feel and look good for themselves -- but only entirely for men.

Thus, the minute any man begins to complain about the types of workouts and the kind of bodies they produce for women, they must immediately stop it and change their entire routine since they only live to do eveything they can to attract men like you.

Amazing.

Are you really trying to sell us that "I wear mini skirts/do butt firming exercises/put on make-up for myself not for men" bridge?

You could however make an argument that it's for other women , though.

I thought it was a particularly tasty SSS

Oh good! You guys got the memo. Indeed, at the last WOWU meeting (Women of the World Unite, for those who aren't in the know), we voted and we unanimously decided that Sexy/Cute was out and that Toned/Ripped was in. Look forward to us bringing back the 80s fitness craze, spandex and all.

Project much? Just cause everything you do revolves around impressing other people doesn't mean everyone lives that way.

Off to do benchpresses now.

I am starting to believe that the guys on here hate women .

Now I'm off for a jog , hope you approve .

LOL if everything I do or say was to impress other people...I would just nod up and down at the idea that women work out just for themselves.

I will be the first to tell you, that the majority of men who work out do it to be more attractive to women. That is why so many guys go through borderline neurotic measures to get the purely aesthetic yet basically useless washboard abs.

I'm not picking on women, just saying both genders are the same.

i am doing p90x. i love it!! i am doing it for myself. not to feel sexier or to impress men, but to be fit and set a good example for my children. to show them that taking care of yourself, and making you the best you can be, are good choices to make, FOR YOURSELF!!

to think that all women who chose to improve themselves are doing it for a man........ that's just crazy talk!
