I've been going bald for the last couple years, so instead of clinging to some scraps, I decided to just shave it all off. I am a white man, which makes it a little more daring than your typical cool looking black dude (is that racist?). I've got the right shaped head for it, and I don't have any weird birthmarks or anything like that.

I am wondering, women, what your thoughts are on guys with shaved heads? Like/Dislike/Don't care?

I think it looks good, and it's way better than trying to disguise hair loss. Just embrace it and rock your new look.

I'm not a women but you're going to get a lot of women say its the best look if you're going bald but still a turnoff. You have to accept that, don't hide from the sun and then embrace it.

I don't like bald whether it's by nature or by choice. You can stop your hair falling out and even grow some back by starting to use Rogaine (minoxidil) everyday from now on. In two months you should start to notice little sprouts of hair on your head and even before then, less hair in your bathtub drain. It's an inexpensive treatment that is the only thing proven to regrow hair by the FDA. Don't take Propecia, which is a drug, because it screws up your testosterone. I've saved many a man from baldness!

My coworker is 26 uses Rogaine and says it stinks, it makes your hair sticky, and it didn't stop his hairline from receeding in quite an ugly fashion where the back and top were thick but the front was gone in a straight line (he ended up shaving it all anyway). Minoxidil is mostly for people who are balding from the back, people who have receeding hairlines have mixed results to say the least.

Propecia I hear is much more effective, but undesirable for the reasons you gave.

Not to mention as soon as you stop using these drugs, you will lose all your hair anyway (even more than you would've naturally, because your body will be used to the drug and overreact when it no longer is in your system).

If it was as simple as you say, nobody would be bald or get hair transplants.

Best advice I'd give you OP is to get yourself some Garlic shampoo. They have them at small pharmacies and herbal stores. Try the drugs if you want, but I think you'll get sick of them in the long term.

Balding is a fact of life for the vast majority of men. By 50, most of us will have some degree of hair loss. If women don't like that, let them write a complaint to Mother Nature.

I'd have to see a photo to say for sure.

HOWEVER, I think a shaved head can be super hot if you have the right look for it. Of course, I tend to be attracted to signs of aging on a guy (lines in skin on face/hands, greying hair, etc.). But not overweight.

It's way better than trying to conceal the fact that you are balding, and I wouldn't recommend using drugs and stuff unless you just look really horrible bald.

Just have to find the girls who dig it. :)

I love bald men......either natural or shaven. Completely bald.....not the clown looking bald head.....haha!

I say go for it, and the more you get used to it, the more confident you'll feel.....and voila......the more women you'll attract.

Personally, I love the shaved head. I think it looks hot, as long as the guy keeps it smooth and doesn't let stubble grow in. However, not everyone can pull it off. You need certain features and the right face shape to rock the bald look. If your ears stick out, it won't work. If you have a high forehead, it won't work (unless you want to look like a Cone Head).

P.S. hugh hardcastle, If you want to look like the type of tough guy women love but don't feel like working out, you can shave your head and grow a goatee :lmao:

I'm fine with it. Also, a hot guy will be hot, shaved head or not, an ugly, obese guy won't be hot no matter what.

Why would anyone stop if it worked? You can use the hair that is thick at the back to transplant to the front receding area. They do wonderful work these days. Not at all like the doll hair of yesteryear.

But just like there are women who like fat guys, there are ones who like bald guys. I don't happen to like either.

To me, bald or shaved guys are equally attractive as others. I don't understand why guys are so concerned about that.

FYI I used Propecia for 5 years and have been on Avodart since 2006. Avodart is a more potent DHT inhibitor that a doctor prescribed to me off label to fight a receding hairline. Needless to say my receding hairline stabilized and overall my hair is pretty thick. And NEITHER DRUG reduces baseline testostrone, only DHT which is converted from test. And the primary cause of Male Pattern Baldness. Oh and I have none of those awful sexual side effects that you hear about. Everything down there works fine and comes back for rounds 2 & 3 pretty quick as well:D

I got a fullhead of hair but shaved my hair real low to ceaser cut once & I caught alot of flack for it so I grew it back. Maybe because my head is so big???

I think the shaved head look can be very attractive. I have no preference regarding hair vs the bald look. For me, it's in a man's eyes more then anything else. Some men just look dead in their eyes and other men have a kindness that radiates from them. But I have been turned on by men with bald/shaved heads just like I've been turned on by men with a full head of hair.

from a straight man's perspective, for whatever that's worth (nothing) i've always thought that it was a look easier pulled off by black guys than white guys. looks awkward on most white guys to me.

Super Hot! Do it!:)

Own it. Shave it. Rock it. It shows confidence, which is oh so sexy...

I had an ex who was losing his hair and so he shaved it all off. Totally worked for him. I'd say do it. Lots of women find it sexy.

Just to chip in that I've used propecia (well... actually I split generic finasteride pills cause it's miles cheaper) for 5 years also, with no side effects. My sex drive is still crazy high, but perhaps that's from working out?

It looks good on some guys, but not all. If you're in generally good shape and have an attractive face it shouldn't be a problem. I definitely agree that it looks better than trying to "hide" the fact that you're balding.

My bf's hair is thinning a lot in the front and he wants me to shave it (not bic, but a 1 or 2 guard)... :/ Not sure how I feel about it!

If you buzz it off and don't like it, it'll grow back in a month or two to a length which can be styled. I've noted, since starting to buzz off my hair after my exW and I split up (she always cut it prior) that it grows back pretty fast and, strangely, the pattern of baldness has slowed or stopped. I figured it would all be gone by now. Perhaps aging has affected my DHT output and its relationship with the hair follicles, IDK.

I agree. Black guys look hot with a bald head.

To me, when a guy shaves his head, it depends upon the guy's shape of his head and facial features. I knows guys who look great with a shaved head and know some who don't. If you can pull it off then go for it! I have no problem with a guy who is balding either. I look at the whole package.
