ls32ssibm Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 ...you know you're ex had lousy, nearly deal-breaking qualities, yet you can only focus on the good stuff when reflecting. I know my ex barely cared about me, told me she loved me when she probably didn't or just barely meant it, treated me like crap when I was trying to be sweet, was selfish often.... ...but all I can think about was the sweet stuff that SHE did do. Ugh...
dicky_fish Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ah yes, the old heart vs mind battle. I can but sympathise with you my friend. I'm still there myself, but I know that at some point they'll find a neat compromise. Just the living through it part is a total ball ache.
Philosoraptor Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 This is where we need to try and be logical rather than emotional. Very much easier said than done. I went through the same thing and ended up hurt again like most here. You do learn how to keep your mind focused and once you figure out what works for you things get much easier.
