Peter_G Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Hi all, Quick Q, I known this girl for around 3 years kinda a friend and I would like to send her flowers for her birthday.Would it be ok to say "love from " at the end of the message?
Philosoraptor Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Are you in a relationship or dating? If not then flowers are not an acceptable gift in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't put love on the note as that will come off very creepy.

I wouldn't put "love" at the end. She's just your friend, and you're already giving her the upper hand by showing her that you like or even love her. Max
Oxy Moronovich Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Definitely not a good idea. Never send a woman you're not related to flowers unless you've already banged her and gotten into a long-term relationship.
Mrlonelyone Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) It depends on how she already feels about you. If the woman already has "creepy" feelings about you then sending any gift will be interpreted through the lens of those feelings. If the woman already has positive feelings about you then sending flowers can be received positively. In that way sending a gift like that cuts through the BS and gets to the point. If she likes the gift she likes you, if not she does not. Here is an interesting blog post which seems to be from a Lesbian or bissexual woman talking about these very issues. Think it's simpler for qeer folks, NO. http://reasonstodatecourtneybeck.tumblr.com/post/11583795568/the-rules-have-changed-on-sending-flowers Edited December 28, 2011 by Mrlonelyone
