Merry Christmas, Loveshack.

My friend who is engaged gave me some reassuring words recently, and I wish to pass these on.

1. The girl you like now but who doesn't like you back -- it's not as bad as you think it is. In fact, chances are, this time next year she'll be replaced by another girl. Bottom line = no girl is beyond "super special" and thus, irreplaceable.

2. Be glad your crush didn't work out. Just means you've crossed one more ill-fitting girl off your list.

3. Above all else, be yourself (but always continue to strive to improve your weaknesses and shore up any holes). One day, someone you like will like you back (for everything you are, and also for what you're not). Some girls just see you in that "OMG, he's awesome!" perspective, while others completely miss it. 9 times out of 10, they miss it. But that special one will see your charms, and we have liftoff.

Do not be discouraged. Keep your chin up, keep improving all aspects of your life, and one day, someone will see you for the special person you truly are.

Yea. Good stuff. Keep on plugging away.

I can tell you're a romantic.

Merry Xmas.

Eh, merry christmas, but it doesn't help. I'm not a fan of unrequited things, and your friend basically made any future love interests sound like disposable toys.

By the time any females my age start to show interest, I'll be long done with them anyway.
