oren ish Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 well i played it cool... did the no contact thing... she broke down and said some stuff i have always wanted to hear... spent some time together... had awesome time... made plans... got a love letter saying she was super happy and couldn't wait to take on life... I paid for Xmas... Now i get the ohh the sparks not there... and will be alone in a town i know no one in for the holiday... kinda cruel so so down... bitten just a vent
cerridwen Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 is right! Venting's good though and these faux reconciliations can be too. Yes, it's hurtful when it falls apart--again. But it can also help crystalize that things are broken beyond repair, and moving forward and upward is best. Lingering doubt is painful. Failed reconciliations help us move past feeling those doubts and regrets sometimes. Good thing a new year is coming soon. New energy. New starts. New faces and I don't know about you, but I feel good things are coming.

There are all sorts of reasons. We could speculate and examine, question and curse the sky. Or, we could decide what WE want and how WE'LL act going forward. Take control starting this minute. She may decide to ring your bell again, but are you required to answer? Nope. You have control. You can close the door on her.
