Im not a parent myself, however i feel as though every child in the world is everyone's responsibility if that makes sense. Today i was reading an article about a mother who slapped her six year old breaking the skin, her children have been removed from her care for two months. This got me thinking about another situation of which the mother put her three children in the car with no seat belts during a disagreement with her husband and took off, he pursued and they both bumbed into one another going at a speed of upward 200 km an hour. She lost control of the car, however no one was physically hurt. The father is now after a month allowed to see his children.

While no form of abuse is ever tolerated, i believe the second incident to be far more servere while not physically hitting them they risked there lives, yet the frst receieved harsher punishment. What are all your thoughts. I have two neices and i could never justify anyone putting there lives at risk like that, or hurting them. How are these parents able to justify there actions and look at themsleves.

That being said i think even the cruellest parents can at times be good parents if that makes sence.

In Australia the only time the child services will get involved is if the child is in immediate danger, so the children of the fist parent where removed but the chidren of the second where not, please explain the hypocrocy of this as maybe i am missing the point.
