ladyravenloft Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Quick recap: Exbf of 2 year LDR told me he loved me, asked for time, then went NC. Found out he'd been seeing someone else for months while telling me he loved me and wanted to be with me. I just found out two days ago the woman that he was cheating on me with dropped out of university after she got a student loan payment, texted the father of her four year old daughter that he could have custody of the child, then took off on a one way flight to where my ex is, half way across the world from her. She didn't even tell her family she was going; she was supposed to meet her mother to look at an apartment for her and her daughter and instead she abandoned her daughter and flew to him. She's been with him for three months now. She was there three days before he and her got engaged. He had her living in his house, engaged to her, and was telling me how much he loved me and couldn't wait to be with me! Unbelievable. I'm happy with my life now. I'll be finishing school soon and will have a good career. I do feel terrible for that little girl though; no matter what happens now she'll always know her mother dumped her for some guy she knew for a few months on the internet. Some people don't deserve to be able to be a parent. Thank you LS'rs. Reading some of your posts and helping me with my posts has really helped me to see that I'm not alone. Thank you.

Glad your happy and moving on...I'm not a believer in LDRs but to each their own...I hope you and sure you will find someone else soon that will treat you right....someone you can see everyday and have fun with...LDRs are tough...stay away from them....they always seem to fail for one reason or another. My best to you and Merry Christmas.
Author ladyravenloft Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 Thank you, Mike. I've already moved on and have found a man (my former husband who never wanted to split in the first place) who treats me wonderfully. I just can't believe I didn't see what was going on with my ex...how he was lying the whole time and how he can flip from "I love you" to asking someone else to marry him within days. That, and how can his new love walk off and abandon her own child. Just mind boggling. You and yours have a wonderful holiday and the best for next year.

Yeah we all feel foolish later when we reflect on our past relationship and sometimes think......What was I thinking? Learn from it....grow from it and use that in your new/next relationship. Wishing you the best.
