What does it mean when he's twisting his wedding ring as he's talking to you?

I am a 28 year old woman singing as an alumna in a college choral ensemble. Today I met up with my ensemble director about some issues that were going on in our choral group. I wasn't going to meet with him but he really wanted to set up a time and meet. So we met up in his office and discussed the ensemble issues. Being the observer that I am, I noticed that he was twisting his wedding ring up and down his finger as he was talking to me. It just seemed odd to me. It wasn't like he was bored, because he was very engaged in the conversation and he was looking at me the entire time. What does the whole twisting of the wedding ring mean?

I'm guessing that it's just a habit. But I suppose you're hoping that it's symbolic for him wanting to take it off and do the nasty with you or you wouldn't have posted this thread.

I used to have a habit of twisting various rings, just as a fidget. I grew out of it years ago, for the most part, but I have occasionally found myself twisting my engagement or wedding ring--usually when I am thinking about my husband, in whatever respect I am thinking of him in.

I do that with my rings sometimes. It's a habit. Doesn't mean you actually WANT to take your ring off or anything...

Besides which, I would think that men who wanted to cheat wouldn't want to bring attention to their wedding band.

some rings have RFID + bluetooth technology built into them, so he was probably texting his wife while he was talking with you. how rude is that eh ?
