I'm not understanding this :o. I send out a friend requests & they always accept it but when I try to talk to them & I'm always polite they either do the ignore thing or just act nasty & call me a loser or something. It seems like girls are making it hard on guys every which way possible.

Most people like their privacy on Facebook. Most people don't like to have much interaction with people they don't know. It's not a dating service. You need to spend time resonding to their posts without stalking them. Have patience. Over time, when they get used to seeing your name, they will react more favorably. Meanwhile, keep in mind that most of them will consider you a stranger and someone who could potentially murder them. That is precisely why they seem cold to you. I think they have good reason.

Even in real life, it takes a while for someone to trust you...when you are right there in front of them.

Are these just random facebook girls? Facebook is not a dating site dude. That's really weird you track down girls on Facebook. If you want a better chance, try a dating site.

Exactly what Tony said.

They accept your friend request because they want to up their friend count. The reason why I have no idea, but it happens. They don't actually want anything from you.

I second this post. If you want to join a dating site try Zoosk, Plentyoffish, Metrodate or Match. I HATE when random men try to add me. I don't even accept them so you should be glad you get that far. If you just MUST talk to them, follow the advice given and do it over time. Don't just go for it right after you are on her friends list. It's creepy for a woman.

Yeah adding random women on Facebook is NOT something that is socially acceptable. I have a friend...well someone i know, who will add any girl with a hot profile picture and message them. He tells them there gorgeous and gives them his number I'm not gonna lie some girls actually will talk to him but the majority think of him as a creep and report or block him.

Personally I feel weird about adding even acquaintances on Facebook, There is a girl that I always see around that is a friend of a girl I kind of know we know each other exist but never really met and I'm not gonna just add her out of nowhere

Although, I did recently added a girl who works at the front desk at my gym and through commenting on statuses and "likes" and such we have become better friends and closer to the "dateable" zone. Just gotta dance that fine line of adding someone that actually has met you and knows who you are to a point before and adding people that you know but they don't know you for creeping purposes.

I hope that rambling kind of makes sense :)

I began dating *NATE a few weeks ago after having met him on a site called Blendr, referred to me by a friend. Nate was SEXY, and we seemed to have a lot in common. We quickly became facebook friends. His profile looked great. We enjoyed the same music, similar spiritual beliefs and personal values and he had a ton of FB friends.

Oops, there you go CE, your answer. Apparently more FB friends = higher social status. I guess it's true, although easy to fake. I could friend 1000 people on Facebook if I wanted. Thankfully I'm an introvert with double-digit friends on FB. I don't have to sift through massive amounts of crap posts just to see what I want. If that makes me undesirable - don't care.

I know its not a dating site but these girls are showing off their best stuff so it feels like it & they always point out how single they are on there but they ignore most guys that try to talk to them not just me. I try alot stuff not just facebook like plentyoffish & some other ones but no response. I'm thinking girls just dont wanna be bothered with guys much now unless he acts like he doesn't care about them or something then they show some interest which makes little sense :(.

That's correct! Women don't gravitate to men who show them too much interest, such as what you're doing right now. Your politeness makes them feel it's a disguise so drop it down the chute and just go about your own business without a care in the world. When you least expect it, one of the silly dames will come knocking on your door.

I completely disagree with everyone in this thread.

First of all, there's no reason for those women to call him a loser. A woman saying something like that would lose all credit with me instantly.

Second of all, Facebook WAS designed as a dating website in disguise. Mark Zuckerberg designed Facebook based on the idea that people want to f*ck each other. So he made a website where people could check out the profiles of people they wanted to f*ck.

I don't know if this is still the case, but the map on the frontpage of Facebook had some locations pinned on it. If you connected all the locations on that world map, then it would spell: SEX

It was a joke that Zuckerberg implemented, because he knew Facebook would work based on the fact that people want sex with each other and that they'd want to check each other out. The people involved with Facebook knew this and wrote it down in the book they published about Facebook and it was also illustrated in the movie about Facebook.

Sex is the reason why Facebook was made, sex is the reason why Facebook became successful. I don't see the need to beat around the bush about it.

Actually, a lot of people use facebook as a dating site nowadays. This is not uncommon at all.

As much as I find ye six degrees of separation interesting. I don't understand how ppl can actually have that many friends. That said, trolling fb is jus sad. Most gurls don't randomly friendwaa ppl unless they're looking to build up their numbers; its an ego boost.

I dont see any evidence of this at all :(. Where are these girls that use it as a dating site because all the girls on my friends list just keep posing all day long without actually giving any guy on there a chance unless they know them already in real life.

It probably happens all the time, except not on the public pages, but rather via private messaging or something like that.

Very good point.

It's all about relationship status.

If says she's in a relationship, then don't bother.

If she says she's single, that means she's looking.

If status is blank, it means that she's single, but doesn't want to publicize it.

The hard part is figuring out how to puck up girls on FB.
