lightx Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 So today at work I felt in my heart to confront my ex and ask to be friends.. Apart of my didn't want to do it basically due to pride and stubbornness ! Any-who, So i worked up the courage to approach her to get a second chance of rekindle of lost friendship and possibly in hopes in working things out to be a couple again in the future... BOY!was this the worst day ever -.-... So when I walked up to her I said " Hey how are you..." She says " Fina and yourself ? " So right there things seemed pretty good so far. anyways, I then told her " You got a Minute .?" She then says " Sure what is it that you want or want to talk about ".. (( Now when she said this she had a serious look on her face, but underneath was a joy of happiness that she tried to hide with this grin on her face.... )) So I say to her I want to talk about us .." Then says " what about us.. and why ? " I said to her because I want us too be friends again if that's OK with you...." here's where it got UGLY!!! -__-! So i say " Well because I don't want us to lose anything we have for each other and we have so much in common and things like that are rare if you know what i mean...And if its OK with you can we take a walk or stroll away from work and talk more in private..?" .. Again she says " Why.... and what for "... So Now I'm getting ticked, but I didn't show her i was mad because if I did then I would've ruined and showed her it was best that we shouldn't have been friends at all.... So i stayed calmed and said " i don't know why whats on your mind since you keep wondering why...".. Here it comes!!!!! she stated this word for word " You know I think we should just not talk to each other we got a good thing going on and so far things are working out good like it is now.... Besides you always assumed I was mad at you and you thought i was angry for no reason when i wasn't and all it was clearly I was having rough days...."... Then I said " So I'm suppose to read your mind now ? " Then she says " Its best we don't be friends don't you agree...".... I just shook my head and had this laughter and smirked and so OK and walked away...... How was this the worst day..Well fooling myself thinking I could rekindle a friendship with someone special and ended up looking like a idiot! What do you guys think I should Do just NC? Move on... There is another girl there at my job who has said she liked me should I go after her and get with her and stop going after my ex ? And please don't just read this and not respond I need some responses and Words of Advice... Also on a final Note: One of my coworkers said she saw my Ex talking to one of our friends in the break room and when she walked in on them they got quieted and seemed they were talking about me. And before she left she heard my ex saying something that she was thinking about something that happened this morning that's been on her mind all day. ( In general Me she was talking about in code...)
twinkles Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I don't know the circumstances of your breakup but her being open to talking with you was a good sign. Then you used the dreaded friend word. Maybe she wanted to hear that you wanted her back as a girlfriend and not just a friend.
smudge21 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Who split with who? Does sound like you bruised her ego so she threw a tantrum and turned it around to put herself back in charge. If you're happy to move on, then do it. Don't worry about her and don't be suckered in if she tries to play games with you.
